Well, I've only seen him play villains so that's probably why I can't imagine him being a good guy. I'm planning on watching Sense & Sensibility and Galaxy Quest soon and I'll let you know what I think.

*sigh* The universe is against me... It is purposely keeping me away from Alan Rickman!!! We wanted to rent Galaxy Quest but Blockbuster didn't have it (but of course!) and it was already on loan at the other DVD place... what an unfortunate coincidence... and Sense & Sensibility was on loan as well *sigh* so we ended up watchin Pride & Prejudice instead... the one starring Kiera Knightly.. oh dear me...

Hmm.. they're showing the Harry Potter movies every night on TV.. I watched The Philosopher's Stone and The Chamber of Secrets and it's great to see Alan Rickman developing his character throughout the Harry Potter movies though he still has those unmistakable Snape-traits in his acting from the first movie. I can imagine how much research and thought he put into his character before the first movie in order to define the character. Impressive.

Yup, I was watching Prisoner of Azkaban last night and Snape has some great scenes. I love how he protects Harry, Ron and Hermione against werewolf Lupin... but my favorite scene is still the duelling scene with Lockhart. *sigh* I know this isn't the Snape thread... but since you have banned yourself from the actual Snape club.. *sigh*
By the way, do we have a Jason Isaacs thread? (or a Lucius Malfoy club?) He's such a great actor too but I couldn't find much about him on IMDB, although he's made more movies than Rickman.
