Cheeks red as a rose, skin white as a dove,
This small character we grew to love,
He has such courage for one so small,
Yet he lacks pride that would make him so tall,
When he smiles he brightens up the day,
When he laughs he keeps evil at bay.
Nothing can crush this young hobbits heart,
For he is strong willed and won’t fall apart.
But Gandalf’s words proved to be in vain,
For this small fellow has met Isildur’s Bane.
Will he be tempted just as he had?
And become corrupt like Aragorn’s Granddad?
The power of the ring can turn the hearts of men sour,
Making them think they can have immense power,
But the minds of men are easily overthrown,
All they care about is power or sitting on a throne,
But will this little guy pull through?
He is so brave but what can he do?
How can he fight against evil so great?
Save Middle-earth before it’s too late?
Should he continue this quest alone?
Will he call It his precious… and make it his own?
