Written with this prompt in mind:
Quote: Write from the point of view of a clean sock that was mistakenly thrown into the hamper.
And so, this little story was born.
You know, I always did as a good little sock should. I stuck to the other cotton blend idiot I was paired to and never complained when I was called into duty on the day our owner, Jimmy, had to run laps in P.E. Yes, I was an excellent sock; you couldn’t ask for a better one.
Unfortunately, the owner was a little careless with his laundry.
It was a beautiful day, and Jimmy’s mom had just pulled me out of the washer. I had that “fresh-out-of-the-dryer-stick-to-your-clothes” feeling at that moment, and I felt like I could do anything.
Then it happened; Jimmy threw me on the floor with the rest of the laundry. He didn’t care anymore. Curse the pre-teen years!
And so I lay there, forgotten for days on end, until Jimmy’s mom told him to gather his laundry again. And you know what?
HE SCOOPED ME UP, STILL CLEAN, MIND YOU, AND TOSSED ME IN WITH HIS DIRTIES!
Imagine my shock to find myself thrown in with the filth of worn clothes! If you are actually dirty, it’s no big deal, but to be clean and in the hamper? It was unmentionable! The disgrace I had brought upon polyester and cotton blended socks everywhere engulfed me! It was absolutely horrid!
I endured my time in the hamper, and soon found myself in the water, swimming in the filth around me. It was disgusting. Naturally, I couldn’t wait to get to the dryer.
And once I was in the dryer, there was absolutely now way I was going back to Jimmy’s floor! I packed up my lint and high tailed it to that rumored place where socks disappear to in the dryer.
It’s not a bad place, really, this sock heaven. Anyway, it sure is a lot better than living on the floor.

Aw, the poor sock. I loved it, I started cracking up at around the second half of the first line. [wierdsentence]Hmm...this makes me wonder if I've ever made any of my socks mad, that could be why they've started to vanish and be found in the strangest places... [/wierdsentence]

Glad you all like it! I let some of my friends at school read it and they either thought I was crazy or a genious.
My mom thought it was hilarious, though. lol!
