It's good.. not as well-worded as your other poems, but more vulnerable and honest.
I'm sure you will find your peace with that someone. Longing keeps our hearts alive and gives our lives a meaning.

Well.... this is the real me that not even my family knows about. I have been thinking and I am sure it doesn't do any good to keep this inside. I had a dream last night about this and since I was already depressed needless to say I feel like my heart is gone and I'm in the bottom of a black void. So I wrote this..... It's not much, not well meetered and all but thats that. If you want to know me... I am the one who longs deep inside. I am the one who hurts all night. I am the one who woke when I cried, And I am the one who looks for a fight. But what I've never told anyone else... I long for someone to hold close, Someone to talk to and love. I long for someone to love me most, I long for a gift from above. I hurt for someone who I can care for, Someone who makes me smile inside. Someone who I can always be there for, One I can talk to about when we've cried. I wake and I cry for a sign or a trace, I wish I could know you and you know me. I wish I could see and touch your face, I cry for you and hope you cry for me. But most of all I'll fight for you, I'll never give up or give in not once. I'll be there for you, and keep us both true, Whether it causes me pain for months. I'll never let go, I'll do what you ask, I won't speak harshly be angered inside. I wont show you what I show others, (this mask) I wont hide the times I failed or cried. And if we are saddened or disagree, I wont scream I'll speak lightly. I hug you tight, close to me. And kiss your cheek softly. Because your everything to me, Only second to God. I just want to make you happy, Who ever you are. |

If this is the real you, again it does sound a little mellow, but aren't all your poems you? The way I read it, there is hope in the end, but perhaps you need this anyway

Yes all my poems (as a general rule are from my emotions and life experiences) The difference is this is something that no one else who knows me personaly knows about me... literally no one. so it's a bit different, to me at least. But your right, there is always hope! |

I know that with God and in His will is the best place I can ever bee and I'm never going to give the number one place in my life to anyone or anything else besides God!!!!

I commend you on your courage to post this  I can empathize... sometimes getting something out in poetry format... abstract to an extent, as to not utterly bare your soul... is ultimately comforting. I've done it before.

I'm the exact same way. This is definately me workd for word. Amazing job, Jax. I agree- it has a very open and honest quality that some of your other poems don't. It's awesome to see a whole new side to you. Great job. And we're all in the same boat.
