Post subject:  "Tears for the World" (G)
My world's just been falling apart, and I can't help but cry. Fortunately, or unfortunately, the best of poems spring up from the most horrid sadness.

<center>I shed my tears,
In worry, in fear, in pain,
But all in vain.
But alas,
I shed them the same,
I will no longer hide in shame.
A storm killed eight,
A car crash one,
A shooting thirty or more.
What kind of world,
Are we living in?
What are we to do for tomorrow?
So we hang on to what we have,
Praying our lives don’t go bad,
We hoard everything we’ve ever had.
And so I cry,
And so I weep,
And so I loose my precious sleep.

I shed my tears for the world. </center>
