This is my first fanfic that I'm publsihing on Henneth Annun and I would like some feedback, please.
Lothlorien and Rivendell, 3007
The mountains around Lothlorien were becoming dangerous, no longer suitable for traveling, that's what the messengers told Elrond as he sat in his study listening intently and fearing for his daughter. What would happen if the orcs did attack Lothlorien? He shivered, not wanting to think about it, it would bring back memories of what happened to Celebrian many years ago. He knew what he had to do; grabbing a piece of paper, he quickly scribbled a message and gave it to the messenger. "Give this to Lady Galadriel by tommrow." he ordered. The messenger nodded his head, bowed and quickly left the room. Elrond sighed and went to the large window facing East to the mountains and let out a loud sigh,"Come home before it's too late."
************************************************************************************************************
Arwen lay down in the emerald green grass of Lothlorien, twirling the emerald ring that hung from a silver chain, pools of green light reflected off her rose bodice. Behind her, sitting on a rock, Doni kept changing herself from Elrond to a balrog to Aragorn, out of bordom. 'Can we go, I want to practive achery before dark." "No," Arwen wistfully replied, looking at a wisp of cloud. "I had to sit here and watch you twirl that stupid ring all morning, let's shoot some arrows."You know, you didn't have to come..." "I had to, it's my duty to follow you, I'm your body gaurd." Doni replied, a small hint of pride in her voice.
Arwen turned around to correct her, but was amazed to find Aragorn sitting on her rock. "Aragorn!" she cried and ran over to him, knocking him off the rock. "It's been so long!" she attempted to kiss him. "Arwen, I swear, if you kiss me, I'll murder you!" an angry female voice growled from under her. Arwen quickly opened her eyes and found herself on top of an angry Doni. "Geroff me!" Doni cried, shoving Arwen to the side. She rose and examined her gown for any stains while Arwen sat on the ground, a little hurt. Doni let out a small chuckle, "It was kinda funny."
"It was not, you actually had me believe for a second he was there. I do not appreciate being mocked because I'm in love." Arwen said standing and then looking at Doni as if she were a mere servant instead of a maid and good firend, she mimiced her mother's dismissing voice,"you are dismissed Doni, I'm going back to the palace." And she stalked away. "Comon! It was a joke! What would your grandmother say if she saw you come back alone?!" "She would know, she always knows everything!" Arwen yelled over her shoulder and walked off.
"Well, you done it again, making her mad like that, I wonder if I'll get fired."Doni mused, gazing at her reflection in the water, using it as a mirror to fix her white-gold bun that was coming undone. She paused for a moment and looked at herself; she was the opposite of what the ideal elf woman was like, tall, graceful, soft-spoken, and a good dancer, and wonderful in bed. Doni, was short, pleasently plump (she got that from her mother's side of the family, though her mother,Nenyia, was as skinny as a crane), clumsy, and she hadn't been with a man since the Second Age. However, there was a mysterious beauty about her, maybe it was the odd color of her eyes, a deep lavender, the little magic she had inherited from her father, Olorin, or it could be the way her skin was always glowing, it must be the maia part she wondered as she did a quick lookover and ran to catch up with Arwen, who was fuming over the trick. She could be overdramatic sometimes, if that's what happens when your in love Doni wondered as she lazily walked to the palace to apologize to Arwen.
"Arwen, where is Doni?" Lady Galadriel caught Arwen by surprise. It was useless to lie to her, "I left her by the stream after she did her Aragorn impression...again." Galdadriel laughed. "She's quite the Court Jester", she sombered up and continued,"but, it's dangerous, going without your maid. There are many greedy men or orcs out there ready to get their hands on young, pure elven maids like yourself." Arwen simply noddded, but argued, "Mother never had any maids follow her." "True," Galadriel nodded, and for a moment Arwen thought she had won,"but, look what happened when she decided to travel the Red Gate Pass Alone..." "She got captured by orcs and father had to come rescue her." "Right. And I hope you don't follow your mother and end up like her...or worse dead."
"My Lady Arwen!" Arwen and Galadriel turned and saw Doni walkingtowards them. Kneeling before Arwen, Doni apologized and begged forgiveness, for the 490th time. It won Arwen and forgave her firend, for the 490th time. "Now that leaves archery, we can practice before dinner." Doni said, already changed into a long grey tunic with belled sleeves and black trousers with new high black boots. "I don't know, I want to rest...."
"Rest, schemst, come on before the day is out!" Doni cried as she grabbed Arwen's wrist and pulled her out of the hall and into the tiny square where archery was practiced. Galadriel smiled and went to watch, but she was interrupted by a messenger from Elrond.
"My lady," the dark haired elf bowed and handed her a note,"my lord Elrond sends greetings and this." Galadriel quickly read the letter and handed it back to him, a little surprised. "I'm surprised, Arwen is to go home already. Usually she stays until she is homesick." "She is called hom because the mountains are becoming alive with orcs and Lord Elrond dosen't want his daughter to share the same fate as her mother." "Right" Galdadriel said faintly, remembering what had happened to her only daughter many centuries ago...
"I'll call the girls and tell them the news." Galadriel said, snapping out of her revire,, the messenger followed behind her.
*************************************************************
"A dwarf could hit that target better then you." Doni insultingly told Arwen after she had hit an elf in the behind, an accident. "You're supposed to hit the target, not some elf's shorts because they were red!" "I'm sorry, you know I'm not as good as you when it comes to archery."murmered Arwen, plucking at the bow's string. "Please, you were thinking about Aragorn weren't you, lovergirl? Admit it, I can read your mind like an open book..." I was not." Arwen feebly replied, now stretching the string, seeing how far it would go. "You were too, you've been like this ever since you got engaged...when I was in love with Evern, I wasn't nearly as bad as you..." The bow string broke as Arwen looked up in surprise,"YOU in love?!" She didn't think Doni was the kind of person any one wanted to marry, she was the opposite of what a proper elf-lady was supposed to be, plus she could she shoot better then any of the male elves in Lothlorien. No elven man would want a superurb archer for a wife.
"Yes I was and it was ages ago, now I'll show you how to shoot from 100 ft.Just concentrate and focus on the target board...Foom! Doni pulled back a little to hard and sent the arrow through the target and pinned the messenger to the tree. "Hah! Still the best!" She cried as she did a victory dance while Arwen rolled her eyes. "Doni, stop that horrid dancing and help Georn from the tree." Galadriel barked, Doni stopped dancing and went to help the unfourtnate messenger, who stared at her as if she had two heads. "Arwen dear, you have just recieved a letter from your father, he wants you to come home." "Why?" Arwen asked looking puzzled, her father never asked her to come home before Galadriel took a breath as if she were preparing for a great speech. "My dear, the mountains are becoming dangerous. Rumors say that the Moria Orcs are regrouping and killing any travelers around the Red Horn Gate. My scouts have told me that they have been bold enough to come to our borders, thankfully, they have killed them. But you must depart now, so you may get home before sunset." Arwen nodded, "I see, but it takes a day and half to Rivendell. I won't get home till tommrow morning!" "Then, my dear, pack and leave. I will send some of my best warriors to be your escourts." "Thank you grandmother." Arwen gratefully replied, then called over to Doni, who had freed the messenger, "Doni, get packing! We are to leave tonight!" "Why?" "I will tell you soon."
**********************************************************************************************
"So, the moutains have become dangerous, I see we'll need a little decoy to fool the orcs in case we are attacked." Doni said thoughtfully as she was packing away some dresses. "A decoy?" Arwen asked, looking puzzled. "A decoy! We have the future Queen of Gonder traveling with us and if the orcs get wind of that, they'll ambush us and murder us so fast, you'll hardly have enough time to run. Now, I have a plan; I will be you, so if we are ambushed, the orcs will go for me and you'll have time to run and get to Rivendell safely." "I see, and how are we going to do that?" Arwen said, looking skeptical. "I'm part wizard you oaf, I'll just simply change into you," and with a snap of her fingers, Doni now was Arwen. "And how are we to tell the difference?" "Easy, by the brooch." Doni said as she unpinned her heavy brooch and pinned it to Arwen. It was a large square one made of elvish crystal and lined in silver. Painted in gold was a picture of Valinor, the one her father always described, though Doni was born there at the the beginging of the Second Age; "A far green country in a swift sun rise." The hills were done in emeralds and the ocean was in saphires and topazes. "Goodness," Arwen breathed, "It's very heavy and beautiful." "I know," Doni replied in a rush,"but it reminds me of home and we must go before it's to late."
********************************************************************************
The sun sank in brilliant hues of summer purples and pinks, taking Arwen's breath away. Another hour and they would be home, she could hardly wait, she had missed her father and brothers dearly and she was looking forward to a long hot bath while Doni would entertain her with stories of life in Numenor and of her formidale mother, Nenyia. "We're at the Red Horn Gate, Ladies, in another hour we shall be home, but first, I think we should stop for a rest." The guide said, interrupting Arwen's thoughts. "I think we should press on, I feel orcs in the area."Doni suggested, but the guide laughed. "My Lady Arwen, orcs don't come out until night has fallen, we shall rest here for thirty minutes...." "In thirty minutes, it will be dark dumbass!" Doni yelled, "we must go now!" "Doni, calm down, I'm sure we'll be fine..." Arwen quietly assured her firend, but Doni wouldn't. "You're siding with him? I thought you'd be smarter then that!" Doni cried and dismounted her horse and stalked off. "Well, I guess we get the break, boys set up guard, I'll build the fire!" the Guide ordered then he added silently to Arwen,"My Lady Doni, don't worry, Lady Arwen will be allright." "How do you know I'm not Arwen actually?" The guide sighed, "My lady, you've done this before many times and it's quite easy to tell because of that giant brooch you're always wearing." he then walked off, leaving Arwen to alone.
*********************************************************************************************
Doni sat alone on a rock her bow and arrows ready in case any orc decided to attack her. She'd be ready...suddenly she heard a twig snap, raising her bow, and arrow cocked, she waited. "SHOW YOURSELF!" She screamed. The figure emerged, arms up in surrender...it was Arwen. "What do you want?" Doni asked gruffly, "I've come to apologize for taking the Guide's side. Will you still talk to me?" Arwen asked, sitting down beside her firend. "Yes...under terms!" Doni replied laughing. "And pray tell, what are your terms?" Arwen asked, trying to keep a straight face. "You must be my best firend forever-" "That's easy! We've been firends since I was five and you were...old." Arwen said laughing. "I was 17,000 when I met you and you must be my maid for a week." "I don't think so!" Arwen said, laughing. "Then I shall not talk to you then!" Doni said, trying to hide the laughter, but both girls burst into it. The sounds of cries and ugly yells sobered them. "I think we're being attacked." Doni whispered and the two ran back to camp.
Here is the rest of the chapter, I finished it last night!

I really love this extract from your story, Lady Raine!
I like your style (the reader can really imagine how the scene might look, if you know what I mean ) and I like the way you depict Arwen as well as the introduction of Doni as a humourous character. Doni's appearance gives the whole story a slightly amusing and light-hearted touch, that is a good contrast to its serious mood that is created by mentioning Elrond's worries concerning Arwen.
I look forward to reading the next chapter!

I also love the rest of the chapter.
I especially like it's ending as you create quite much suspense with your last paragraphs and make the reader interested in the next pages ...

Here's Chapter Two! I just finished it ten min. ago!
They ran as fast as they could, jumping over fallen logs, the screams of horses and the yells of the party members guided them until they reached the site of the camp. Arwen strode forward, but Doni grabbed her and pulled her behind a large tree trunk. "Wait."Doni whispered, reaching for her bow and an arrow. Arwen stared sullenly at the damage; horses were scattered every where, orcs chased after them, waving shining swords that gleamed in the fire-light. Elven archers stood on a small hill, shooting the orcs at will, but there were to many. Some of the elves lay dead, but the dead orcs outnumbered them. Arwen wanted to fight, but her sword was at home and she had nothing on her.
"Climb the tree, you'll be safer up there." Doni ordered, handing Arwen a dagger. "I want to fight." Arwen whispered, refusing to climb the tree. "You can't! What if you get killed, how do I explain that one to your father?" Arwen tried to fire back, but she couldn't. 'Climb the tree and be safe. It should be over soon... telapath your father for reinforcements." Arwen simply nodded and climbed the tree to the tallest branch. "This is stupid!" She murmered, eagerly wishing she could be apart of the battle, instead of sitting in a tree...just watching. Oh how she longed to kill an orc just once! Suddenly rembering Doni, Arwen qucikly telapathed a message to her brothers, who were only fifteen minutes away; "Help!"
****************************************************************************************
Doni crouched and waited for the perfect moment to strike, like a cat who had just spotted delcious prey. There was an orc, chasing down her favorite mare. He would do. She cocked the arrow and waited for the right moment and then fired. He went down like a sack of potaoes. Grinning evily, she rushed into th fight, sometimes firing her arrows, sometimes weilding her ancient sword, a short sword from the Glory Days of Numenor. How she loved to fight! It was all one violent and thrillng dance to her! She beheaded three orcs in a single slash, they fell like leaves in the fall. She saw one orc attempt to kill an elf who had fallen, whipping out her bow, she felled him in a second. The Elf curtly nodded as he got up, unscathed and continued his knife-work.
Soon, they were joined by Awen's brothers and some Rangers. "Elladan, Elrohir! Good to see you!" Doni cried as she thrust an arrow into an orc's eye. "Same to you, Lady Doni. Ahhhh the smell of orc blood at nght!" Elrohir replied, felling three orcs at the same time with his sword. "I'm glad you came, we needed your help!" "My Lady, anything for killing orcs!"
*****************************************************************************************************
Arwen couldn't stand it anymore, the thrill of battle was too tempting, so she crept out of the tree, and sprung into action, killing ors with her dagger. She had never done this before but felt it thrilling. The orc party was almost killed, and they could be on thier way. She was glad because she was feeling homesick...
"Arwen! I told you stay in the damn tree, not fight!" Doni angrily cried as she briskly walked over to her, ignoring the orc behind her. "Doni behind you!" Arwen cried, but Doni ignored her, continuing the lecture, oblivious to the orc behind her who had just raised a club and held it over her head. Arwen did nothing but watch, rooted to the place as the orc clubed her best firend and sent her crumpling to the ground, kicking her lifeless body aside and made for Arwen, who fainted.
*************************************************************************************************
An unearthly howl of grief seared through the room. Arwen put her hand over her mouth, afraid someone might heard her. She hadn't done that since her mother left, but she didn't stop herself after she heard her father prounounce Doni-Arwen- dead. Footsteps ran into her room, but she didn't bother to look up, she sank under the covers and feebly attempted to hide herself from the rest of the world.
"Have you heard the news, Donalwen dear?" Gandalf' asked, standing over the narrow couch where Arwen slept. Arwen poked her head out. "Yes Gandalf, I can't believe Doni gone." "Doni, darling, I'm father, and Arwen isn't Doni. You hit your head pretty hard when you fainted and the blow from the axe didn't help much either, but at least it wasn't as severe." "Gandalf, I'm Arwen...Doni switched places with me to fool the orcs in case we got attacked. She gave me her brooch so everyone could tell us apart." Arwen insited. Gandalf paused, looking at her thoughtfully and Arwen prayed that he would learn that this was all a giant mix-up and everything would be normal again. "My dear, you're greatly confused. You hit your head very hard and know you think you're Arwen. I recimend plenty of sleep and for you to change back before you become worse then what you really are." He gave her a small kiss and left the room. Arwen fell back on the couch and let the tears fall, for Doni and for her failed, feeble attempts to undo the mix-up.
"***************************************************************************************
Doni was buried two days later in a cold rain. She was laid to rest in a glass coffin, so her beauty wouldn't be hidden underground. She wore an ornate pink gown that had belonged to Arwen and she looked peaceful.
Arwen stared in stone silence at the glass coffin, ignoring her father's beautiful euology for her his "daughter." She wanted so badly to interupt and explain for the thousandth time that there was a huge mix-up, but she didn't, instead she patted Aragorn's shoulder as he wept beside her. "My muse, my muse is gone." he whispered, weeping harder. It was a pitiful sight...too bad he didn't know his real muse was standing right there beside him.
***************************************************************************
The grief didn't hit until evening when Arwen walked into her old room and she found no night gown laying out on the bed. "Doni! You lazy cow! Get in here and find me something decent to wear!" but she didn't come and then Arwen remembered Doni was dead and sleeping peacefully by a small stream. Realizing how selfish she had been, she collapsed on the bed and wept. She stayed in bed for a month.
Outside, encased in her glass coffin, Doni slept like the dead, but on the inside, she was fully awake, wandering in a shadow realm.
***************************************************************************************
For a month, Arwen remained in bed; she ate little and it was worrying Gandalf. He thought she was taking the grieving thing a little to far, especially for her refusal to shed her Arwen disguise. He tried to get her out of her room and into the gardens, but Arwen refused. Disgruntled, he complained to Elrond about her stubborness and it was Elrond who thought of a solution.
"Get her out of Rivendell, send her somewhere else, maybe to Valinor..." "She won't go, she dosen't want to spend an enterity with her mother, besides she loves Middle-Earth." Gandalf said, waving the idea out. "Allright, send Doni to Dale, the Queen needs a new Maid of Honor, and Doni seems to be the perfect person to play the part." Gandalf agreed, "plus, it will keep her busy. She needs to be kept busy."
And so Arwen was sent to be a lady's maid. She wasn't exactly thrilled about it, but what was worse, they wouldn't let her say goodbye to Doni. On the day she was to leave, she went out to the gardens to bid farewell. She met Aragorn out there and was surprised to learn he was leaving. "On a another trip to find out how to defeat the Dark Lord, I hope." "No," he answered gravely, "I'm moving in with my cousin Halbarad and his wife for awhile. I need to heal and think." "I'm going to Dale to be a Maid of Honor to the Queen." Arwen angrily said, "Father and Elrond believe I need something to keep me busy." He was about to reply, when Gandalf's hoarse voice broke the somber conversation. "Doni, lets go before it get's too dark."
"I must go." "Good luck and Godspeed Doni." Aragorn replied, "You know, Arwen was the dearest thing to me...the only thing that was worth this whole quest. Know it's gone and I don't know if I want to be King." "But you must! It's your destiny!" Arwen cried, clutching his hands, but he shooed her away. "I must go, they are expecting me before nightfall. I don't know what I shall do know." And he went away, stooped like an old man, breaking Arwen's heart. She wanted to do something, tell her there was a mix-up, but she didn't, she just stared after him, clutching his ring.
***************************************************************************************
That night, when the Rivendell Valley was asleep, Doni's coffin was disturbed by an old woman and her henchmen...they were doing it for a good reason. To help the poor, feverish elven girl.

Wow! Wonderful work, Lady Raine!
I love the second chapter of your story as much as the first one. The idea of the mix-up between Doni and Arwen is great!

Well it was kinda weird story that was narrated to the little girls to make them sleep if you ask me of course. It is your story but I like the scene ,which is created in my mind, where Arwen jumped over Doni to kiss while Doni somehow transformed to Aragorn. And she annoyed Arwen again.
Just tell us more about Doni
One question: Is Doni a child?? or an adult. I know you have said her age but still this is not so clear in my mind. You know adults does not cry so much.

Thank you for critqueing. Doni is Arwen's maid and firend. She's supposed to be serious with some humor. I wanted her to be the humorous side-kick, but not annoying. i don't understand where you got the idea that she was a child nor do I understand about the crying part. Do you mean at the funeral?

Ok, Chapter 3 and 4 are up, tell me what you think!
Ch.3 Ranuiel
"Do you think she'll be allright Ranuiel?"<br><br><br>
"Of course. The fever should break within a couple of days."<br><br><br>
"That's what you said last week." Goldberry glared at the Ranuiel. Ranuiel smiled sheepishly.<br><br><br>
"Wizards aren't perfect." she replied.<br><br><br>
<br><br><br>
Goldberry rolled her eyes. "That's just an excuse. The truth is you have no idea how long our elf firend will be sick. You just like to pretend your wise, but in reality you are not. I shall ask Tom what he thinks." Goldberry said with a huff as she left the room as Ranuiel looked with disgust. "You're usually a nice person!" Ranuiel called after her, but Goldberry didn't hear her. Raniuel went to follow her, but before she went, she cast a dark glare on the sleeping figure of Doni and murmmered, "You'll get me to Valinor." And she departed.<br><br>
<br><br>
Raniuel was one of the Blue Isatri who had supposedly dissapeared after disembarking the ship in the Grey Havens. She and her companion, Redagase had gone to the East to win the Easterlings over to the good side, but they both failed miserably; Radegase was executed and Ranuiel barely escaped with her life. Defeated and depressed, she moved into the Courts of the West, living as a fourtune teller, but her predictions would often be wrong, causing kingdoms to fall and battles to be lost. Once again, she found herself tossed out in the cold, cruel world and the only alternative that seemed to bring joy to her was go to Valinor, but the Valar had barred her from returning until she had fully completed a task that made her worthy of reentering Valinor...and Doni would be her ticket...

Finding Arwen: 4. Doni's History and Arwen's Path
Doni slept in comfort on cotten sheets in the house of Tom Bomadil, but her mind was plagued with fighting a winning battle with unconscienious and memories of her years. She was born at the end of the first age to Olorin, a Maiar, and Celewethe, an elf who had been the hand maid of Melian and the last Queen of Doriath before it was desereted. Doni had a total of 300 siblings, many of them were brothers who had left Valinor for Middle-Earth during the great migration of the elves, but sadly all of them were killed in the battles against Melkor or simply disappeared. All Doni had left were 98 sisters, all whom lived in the family's giant villa by the sea. The 99th one left for Valinor along with her brothers and never came back. Noone ever knew what happened to her but there was a popular rumor that she had fallen in love with a mortal and had taken the same path Luthien did or she simply froze to death while crossing the ice passage.
Home life had been unpleasent. Her father was away most of the time and the girls were under Celewethe's strict rule. Celewethe was unpopular in the house, she was always in everyone's business and Doni's sisters could not marry without their mother's approval (she never approved of any of the proposed husbands her daughters brought home) and instead they all lived like old maids cramped in the large villa. None of the girls dared to stand up to their mother, except Doni, who at fifty years of age left home and moved to the island of Numenor to live an isolated life from the cold home she had grown up in. Celewethe was loth to let her go, but after a bitter fight, Doni left the villa with half the servants (who were eager to go) and a secret admiration from her sisters.
After finding enough boats to carry her new household, Doni set sail to Andstar and after leaving her boats in Bay or Andunie, she and her servants trudged along the beach, looking for a suitable dwelling to call home. They searched for many days until they found a path leading through from the beach through a woods. Curious, they followed it and found an empty mansion completely furnished standing in the middle of the woods. Behind it ran a mighty river and it faced west, there Valinor lay like a green paradise on a grey frothing ocean. "Perfect." Doni declared and she lived in there for fifty years, undisturbed by the Numenoreans, though she was frequently visted by firends, sisters, and her mother who only came when she and Olrion were fighting or when she wanted to persaude Doni to return home, but Doni refused.
One day, a kinsman of the king was walking on the same beach that Doni had landed on some fifty years before. It soon began to storm and he found himself stranded. Suddenly he spied a path leading from the beach to the woods. Curious, he followed it until he came to a great stone mansion. He was about to knock on the large front door to ask for a place to stay until the storm passed when he heard an off-key voice singing in the rain. Mistaking it for a yowling cat, he followed the voice until he came upon a rain soaked Doni dancing in the rain and it was love at first sight. So they lived happily together many years, her sisters and father prasied the couple, but Celewethe disapproved of the them, not because of the fact that they were of speparate races, but she had forseen his betrayal to her and that they would be both lost in the drowning of Numenor.
She tried persistantly to get her daughter to leave the island and come home, but Doni refused. Upset, Celewethe herself descended upon Doni's home when she was gone one day and empited it of itsfurnishings, colthes, and servants, taking the things all back to the Villa where in hopes Doni would come back to follow it, but instead, she moved into her lover's house in the capital city and there they lived like a married couple, having 3 beautful childern and spending the days their days together. But Numenor fell into darkness and the King captured Sauron and brought him to the island as his advisor, wich made things ill for everyone. Elves were no longer welcome to the island and the men started to worship Melkor and offer human sacrifice...and Doni and her lover remained isolated from it all until one day, after learning that there was an elf still on the island, Sauron had a great desire to burn her and after tracking Doni down, he met with her lover in his famous beautiful appearence and in less then two days he turned the lover against her, poisining thier love with lies and how Doni used him to satifsy her own lusts and that she was a common *beep*, he wasn't the father of their childern were from different men. Then he offered he would make Doni and their childern sacrifices to Morgoth, clearing the lover's life so that he could share power with Sauron and the lover, blinded by the lies agreed, that he would burn his Doni and their childern tonight at the Temple.
Doni had sensed something was wrong when her lover came home later that day, he had a strange glint in his eye and suggested going to the Temple for a picnic as a family that evening. She refused to go, but the childern were enamoured of the idea and begged to go, but Doni forbade it, seeing visions of fire and hearing screams, but the lover won, and in the evening, he and the childern departed, oddly dressed in their best colthes.
It was going on midnight and they still did not return, concerned, Doni went to the Temple to see that everything was allright, but she was shocked at what she saw, three piles of ashes and her lover was bowing down to Sauron, surpassing a scream and sickened by what she saw, she ran home, she decided it was time to leave. Grabbing a heavy velvet mantle, she slit open a side and began to stuff jewelry, hair ornaments, and flowers, mementos her lover gave her and wich she would forever remember him by, even though he had lost her trust and admiration by sacrificing their childern! Tears welled in her eyes as she finished stuffing the last piece of jewelry into the mantle and she sewed it shut,
She departed the house and made for her old house, a three hours walk from Armenelos. There she intended to stay there for awhile and decide if she should return home or move on, maybe to Middle-Earth, there were some elven havens where she could start a new life under a different name. It was calm, eeriely calm as she walked through the streets and out the gates, along the familar road towards home. At about Three, when the old house was in sight, her plans changed, first, she saw a giant wave come down upon the island like a dragon's tale upon a rock and second, she saw her lover come to her, he had followed her. He apologized and promised a new turn life, they would move to Middle-Earth for her sake, a new life and 3 new childern for the ones he had killed, but she saw through his sweet lies, she knew where she was going, to burn as a sacrifice to Morgoth and then have her ashes washed by the sea as the wave would come and destroy the island. She shook her head and ran, she was only a few miles from home, but she wasn't going to go home, she was going to Valinor to seek her family's forgiveness and try to wash away the past...she was going to start anew and instead, she ran for the sea, her lover hot on her heels, determined to bring her to Sauron.
She reached the sea, but seeing no boat, only a floating log, she threw off her mantle and tied it around the log, pushing it out into the cold water as she followed, her lover still on her heels, but she ran and when the water got about waist high, she dove in and hung onto the log as she violently kicked away, ignoring her skirt intertwing around her legs, slowly hindering her progress. As for the lover, he followed her out to sea, he was a good swimmer, but the spell Sauron had cast on him was no more, instead he felt shame and wished only for death, he decided to go with Doni, maybe there would be peace in the after-life. He did manage to catch up and they were reuinted briefly, and she forgave him, but they were torn apart by the wave that hit Numenor, Doni was born upwards, log and mantle, to a rising Valinor and Eressa and landed on the beach where she lay in and out of conscience as it rose out of the earth.
She was found nine days later by one her sisters and immediately brought home where she lay in a depressed state for nine months and she ended up giving birth to a healthy boy. Swiftly the boy grew up and tired of the splendor of Valinor, he sought Middle Earth and he was later killed in the battle on Dagor Plain. Meanwhile, she spent the rest of the third age lying around and eating bonbons. Concerned about their daughter, Olorin and Celewethe headed to Middle-Earth for a change of scenery and on a mission from the Valar to guide Man. In Rivendell, Celewethe and Doni made thier abdobe as maids Elrond, then maids to his wife. and Doni was appointed governess over the childern and became Arwen's best firend and maid.

The fever finally broke two weeks after the accident. Doni was up and moving around the house and the Old Forest (Tom Bombadil had to rescue her twice from becoming a snack from Old Man Willow.) She lingered there for three months, eventually becoming bored with everything and wanting a change, that was when Ranuiel, who had been watching her closely, pounced in and offered Doni a chance to go around Middle-Earth and be her personal assistant. They would go around and offer fourtune telling, also crash weddings to predict the happiness of couples, and wait to see if something bigger then themselves would come along and if they could get a piece of the action. Doni agreed and she and Ranuiel left, much to the disapprovment of Goldberry and Tom.

Arwen stood before the great double doors of Aragorn's tower in the pouring rain arguing wheither or not to knock and claim what is hers. A week before, one of the kitchen boys in Dale had told her that Aragorn was looking for the Evenstar and he was offering a reward for anyone with information about her whereabouts (apparently, he did not believe that Arwen was dead and that he was tricked by Elrond.) After hearing the news, she rode out and now she had been standing here for a quater of an hour, deciding wheither to knock on the door or not. Clenching the mantle around her tighter, she raised a bejeweled hand to knock on the door, then hesiated, was it fear that kept her back?
Before she tried again, one of the doors was opened and in the frame stood a slender young girl. "Yes?" "Is the Lord Aragorn at home?" The girl gave her an odd stare and then yelled into the castle "Lady Raine, we got another one." A loud groan came from within and Arwen felt fear flood her, should she leave? Soon the girl disappeared and she was replaced by a tall, attractive woman with flaming red hair dressed in green. Her mouth was drawn in a tight disapproving face and she looked careworn and burdoned. "So, your another one with information on the where abouts on the Elf?" She drawled, but Arwen wasn't listening, her mind was elsewhere, flooded with memories of a different, Raine, a youthful girl who was always laughing with bright gems in her hair. At one time, she and Arwen had been great firends, but the years and and the sorrows had driven them apart.
"Do you remember how Aragorn and I would sometimes visit your fair city of Mora Forbona when your mother was Queen and the fun that we would have?" Arwen faintly whispered, wishing for those days." "Yes, oh how I wish mama were alive and everything was ok and I were home again, not here..." she whispered, a tear trailing down her cheek. Suddenly, Raine came out of her reverve and sneered at her. "Your quite the little actress, but the Lord Aragorn will judge if you really are the Evenstar. Follow me." Raine turned and went inside, Arwen followed behind like a chastised child.
The entry hall was a small round chamber that held many curtained rooms. A cracked oak stair case winded intricately up to the second floor and bare chandlier hung over head. Arwen paused a momment to admire the plainess of the room, but Raine's cold voice brought her back. "This way." She said dully as they entered one of the curtained rooms. The room was small, but lavishly decorated with ancient pieces of furniture, bookshelves and tapestries. In the middle of the room sat a great oak desk piled high with papers and maps, its occupant could hardly be seen and in front of the desk was a straight back chair.
"Aragorn, another one of those annoying people with information on whatsherface," Raine said blase`ly,"and she seems to know a lot more then the others."
"Good, let them have a seat and I'll be with them shortly he mumbled behind the large stacks of papers. "Well, you heard hi, have a seat, but make sure you take off that mantle or you'll ruin the furniture." Raine continued and left. Arwen took off her mantle, revealing a glitterly periwinkle gown that brought light to the room. Around her neck hung the Evenstar and the Ring of Barahir.
Aragorn had to blink twice to make sure that he wasn't dreaming. Was that Arwen sitting before him or someone else? He was positive it was her because she was wearing his favorite gown and the Evenstar and his ring hung around her neck, making her neck lookscrumptiously kissable. Putting aside thoughts that this woman could be Arwen, Aragorn drilled her with questions about her life, childhood, but as Arwen continued to answer them, he knew it was her. "Its really you!" He cried, surprising Arwen and then he leapt the desk, attempting to do a recreation of the Leap of Beren, but he fell face forward and landed hard on the floor. Arwen broke into a fit of laughter, tears rolling down her face.
"You know noone can't replicate the Leap of Beren." Arwen said through fits of laughter. Aragorn glared at her. "How about helping me up?" he asked, he was groaning from pain. Arwen gave him her hand, but he pulled her down and passionately kissed her while murrmering "I've found you."
Raine stood outside the door, horrifed at what she was hearing: Arwen was found and now her hopes was trying to marry off her sister Arya to him were dashed. She swore and paced, wanting to burst into the room in the fit...but she was better then that. She was after all royalty and royalty had to be appear sane when things they want don't come their way. She thought of bringing her sister in, and pleading him to remember his promise, that he would marry her when he became king, forming an alliance between Gonder and Mora Forbona, but knowing his stubborness, it wouldn't work. She would have to drive the Elf off and the only way it would work was to sic her two fericous dogs, Fear and Flig on to her. It would do.
**************************
"What will become of me now?" Arwen asked, holding Aragorn's hand as she sat upon his knee. "You'll go back to Rivendell. I'm sure your father will be relieved when he finds you alive." But Arwen shook the idea aside. "I don't want to go back, I'd rather stay here with you." She cried, clenching his hands. Aragorn shook his head. "Your father would kill me, plus he made me swear that I wasn't supposed to touch you until I was king." A cloud of disappointment passed across her face, but she agreed. "I'll go home tommrow, it's to wet." "Fine, you can stay, but only for tonight." "Good." Arwen smiled and she kissed him on the lips as a thank-you. But the kiss didn't last long as the curtain to the room was suddenly tore open and 2 large, fearsome dogs came in, showing their teeth and growling. "Heel Fear and Flig!" Aragorn commanded, but they ignored him, instead they leapt up on Arwen, draggin her off his lap by her leg.
She screamed as they sunk their teeth into her leg, blood seeping over her dress. She tried to cling onto Aragorn's waist, but the dogs were to strong, she felt him coming down with her. The only thing left to do was run. Kicking her leg against the dogs she sent them sprawling against the floor and tore out of the room, the dogs gave chase and they followed her through the great front doors and out into the rain.
Aragorn stated in disbelief at what he saw. Arwen's screams echoed in his head and he could feel her tight grasp around his waist. He ran out of the room and followed the trail of blood into the rain, but there was no Arwen, just 2 soaked dogs with lolling tongues. "I will find you!" He called out into the rain, but he was answered by Raine's harsh laugh. "Did you see her tear out of here like a rabbit!" She cried, petting her dogs. Aragorn glared at her with hate. "You did this didn't you?" He cried, his face showing uncontrable rage. Raine stepped back and cooly replied "yes, but it was for a good cause-" "AND WHAT CAUSE WAS THAT?!!" He screamed. "To ensure that you will keep your promise about wedding my sister." And she departed leaving Aragorn cursing her.
Arwen stood out in the rain, her tears meshing with it. So close was she to almost going home, she could have almost tasted it, now life seemed bleak, sure, she could go back in there, but what if those dogs attacked again? She would rather retreat then face them. And that meant walking to Dale in this weather without her mantle. So she she began the long trek to Dale. It usually took a day and half, but with this weather it would probably take three or more.
Nearly out of the villiage, Arwen heard shouting and was nearly bowled over by 2 running figures-both women. One was tall and dressed in blue, she had a serious expression on her face and was holding a tall pointy hat in one hand. She was a witch. The second room was a few inches behind her looked familar, she was plump and also dressed in blue. Her hair was blonde and for a moment Arwen thought she saw purple eyes glaring angrily at the running figure. Behind them was a large crowd throwing stones and shouting curses at them:
"You ruined my wedding!"
"Your a fraud Ranuiel!"
"Witch, Witch, burn her at the stake."
They disappeared in the rain, but Arwen could hear the cries as she continued on. She made it back to Dale 2 days later and amazingly she did not get sick. As for Aragorn, the next day, he went treking with Gandalf to find Gollum and he forgot about his promise
