Post subject: | Soren's Victory (Let me know what you think) |
This is just a randome scene that popped into my mind. I figured I would write it down and post it and see what everyone thinks. The gray mist flowed under Soren's cloak, a swift breeze catching the dark blue velvet and billowing it outwards. The tall sturdy elf stepped forward, the soft moss covered ground compressing beneath his feet. His keen blue eyes searched the trees for his prey. A slight movement caught his attention and he turned calmly to his right. His protective hood fell backwards off his head, revealing his strong features, as he reached behind him for his bow. The white wood of Soren's bow had been inlayed with silver vines and flowers. The elvish prince reached back and pulled out an arrow. The ivory notch fit over the bow string easily, but not to easily. The elegant feathers were stiff and straight. Another sound echoed in the forest, this time behind Soren. The young elf stood still and lowered his bow. A second sound, to his right. Then a third in front of him. Soren stepped forwards, turned to his left, and then abruptly swung around, pointing his bow upwards into the trees behind him and released his silver tipped arrow. The arrow flew through the air, curved skillfully around a few branches as the target leapt for safety. Finally the deadly point found it's mark and struck the renegade goblin in the heart. The creature fell to the ground, convulsing in pain before it's lifeless body was left limp. |
