Ashes dancing on the wind,
Vapors rising from the stone -
Hardened lava, rough and black.
Lost! There is no going back.
Least I don't go on alone.
Fumes restrain me in my breath,
Rugged rocks draw blood from flesh,
Orcs respond 'fore Elbereth.
Does this mean I go to death?
O! why did I leave my home?
Pounding drums are in the air
With the troll's demonic moan.
Smoke blots out the starry sky,
Without change soon, hope will die.
And it will not die alone...
