Now, I haven't started this yet, but I thought I would set out some ideas and get feedback to see if it is worth me starting in the first place. Not much is said in The Return of the King about the battes of Dale, Lorien and Mirkwood, so I thought this might be a nice subject to explore. I would probably write three seperate stories, all linked together in someway. Using Appendix B, I should be able to get all the dates and the bare bones of the stories correct. I could then flesh out the stories, not just with details of the battles, but what happened beforehand: councils, scouting, skirmishes, etc. I've started on a map and a timeline of events which will serve as planning, but will also give you a rough idea of what the stories are going to be like, which I will post tomorrow. Any feedback on whether you think this is a good idea or not? |

I love doing things like that! I've written a bazzillion different stories like that. Its just so much fun to flesh out stories and make it very detailed. I'd really like to read what you come up with |
