Post subject: | A Living Stone |
This is a poem regarding Narnia and how Aslan brings back the people who the white witch has turned to stone, but connected to the spiritual implications behind the act in the movie. A pounding heart may be my call, Ice cold hands to break my fall. All I want is to be known, To live outside this jail of stone. But what am I that life should call, Speak my name or upon me fall? But still I long for flesh and bone, To see the world that lies unknown. I'm but a statue, a stone of earth, How can this stone have second birth? But through His breath the tendrils stretch, To free me, though, I'm but a wretch. Despite my wrong, my evil song, That from the days this stone has sung. He grants me life, life again! That I no more may fall to sin. |
