Something I wrote recently... please, please, please read and review!!
The hard earth beneath is frozen and rough
My somber mood is the grey sky above
A misunderstanding, words not enough
All that might have been, unrequited love
To think of the things we will never do
Fear to bequeath my secrets, fear to trust
Words unspoken, things not said, all to rue
Give your heart to her, and mine left to rust
The heavens open to a cold, steel rain
Each raindrop a tear for chances not made
My soul wrenched open, yet purging the pain
You hurt my pride, yet the anguish will fade
The water penetrates skin, healing me
The bliss of just this moment to be free

Verry interesting subject, leaves a lot to imagination which I like.
Showes very good emotion as well.

Very Good! I like that there is room for the imagination. It gives you a feeling of dread and wonderment. Luff it!

I come back to this post after over a year, and as I re-read it, it strikes me as amazing. I now write much more poetry than ever before, and have experienced a painful dose of life since I last logged on. This poem speaks to me so much more now. Thanks for writing it. And sharing it.
Jasper

Of course, that's so wonderful to hear. Thank you so much, I'm glad other people can relate and take meaning from it.
