At night my dreams are haunted by you I remember what we’re like together Everything you say and do Why can’t I sleep forever When you are with me I’m free and Everything ain’t as it seems I want to spend forever in your arms But I can only in my dreams So don’t wake me Till reality is better than dreaming It’s easy to be the believing When you want it to be real When I stir you disappear I want so bad for you to be here So don’t wake me They say this can’t be love cause we’re too young But we age as life goes on And I don’t want us to go unsung So let’s dream on Just don’t wake me Till reality is better than dreaming It’s easy to be the believing When you want it to be real When I stir you disappear I want so bad for you to be here Just don’t wake me Tonight I pray for sleep to come So I can be with you again When I wake I feel empty and so numb “Make me comatose, please, amen” Just don’t wake me Till reality is better than dreaming It’s easy to be the believing When you want it to be real When I stir you disappear I want so bad for you to be here Just don’t wake me (c) J Erenwei 2010 |
