Upon the Path

I wander down a path of dust
And out and down the lane
It beckons me to come and trust
Its whispers through the rain

Through wooded dell and waterfall
And meadows filled with flowers
The forest birds with merry calls
Greet morning April showers

I pass the cottage of the wise
And run through fields of folly
I watch the gentle sun arise
And wonder at the holly.

I wander now on darker ways
With stealthy steps I tread
The shadows loom without a ray
No pillow for my head

Yet every valley dark with night
Must sooner pass away
And with the sudden come of light
My feet won't go astray

I hasten down familiar paths
Of memories and dreams
I laugh at newly sprung up grass
And unexpected streams

Though I have yet to see the end
Where this old path will lead
I strain to see around the bend
And listen to the breeze

Really refreshing :) I like how it reminds of LotR poems and songs ^^

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaw! Thanks! I love Bilbo's song Th Rosd Goes Ever On and On, so I kinda used that imagery in this. Sooooooo glad you like it! :hug:
