Good idea... does this mean I can rabbit on about my story ideas? Cool! ![]() I'm not sure what to put down for this, but I'll try... Name of Book: Waiting (stupid title. It fitted the short story that the story is based off, but it doesn't work any longer) Genre: Historical/fantasy romance, I guess... When Started: I first came up the the original idea (and wrote a short story around it, which I have then expanded) about two or so years ago. [s]I haven't written heaps, as I'm developing it mentally first. And I don't have the time, and if I did, I'd probably lack the dicipline. Hopeless, huh?[/s] I've been writing it for over a year, on and off (depending on other time-commitments). At the moment, I'm writing it seriously. Rating(G, PG, etc.): Books now have ratings? I honestly don't know. I mean, perhaps a ten year old could read it, but would they understand it? Summary: Xarlia is the eldest daughter of a widowed innkeeper, and the inn is almost hers rather than her father's. The "inn" attracts visitors many from a eclusive and well-known military base who is primarily responsible for the defense of the country's borders. After suffering an illness, Xarlia struggles to fit back into her old daily life as innkeeper's daughter, a role which has been over-taken by her sister. She leaves home and runs away, hoping to both find and forget the Captain she once befriended and whom she hoped may have come back... There. I doubt it does it justice, and it probably makes it sound a lot better than it really is. ![]() |

Name of Book: Lady of Ornium (first in Prequels from Realms of the Last Age) Genre: Fantasy When Started: sometime this summer, but I started the series 4 yrs ago Rating(G, PG, etc.): PG-13 Summary: Lorx, the Shadowed One and god of the Black Chasms, has returned from over fifty thousand years of exile to wreak his wrath upon those who slighted him. He plots a conspiracy that will bring the Temple of Flame back to power, and grant him rulership of the Dark world Ornium. Meanwhile Lady Ryairon, daughter of the Goblin King of Ornium, seeks to destroy the god who murdered her lover. Her quest for vengeance takes her from the deepest pits of the Underworld to the highest peaks of the territories ruled by dragons. The combined powers of a deadly elven wizard, two demi-god nephews of Pegasus, and the wrath of the Lorx the Death Lord bar her way. oh, right, the summary's a little more dramatic than necessary, but I've always been one for drama ![]() |

Hey I love to ramble about my books! Maybe on this forum people will actually listen... Name of book: It doesn't have a title yet. Genre: Fantasy When started: About a month ago Rating: dunno. It wouldn't be rated R if that's what you're worried about! Summary: A war raged between Mage Coutry and the country of Elantia for years on end. Just five short years ago the fighing finally came to a stop, but hostitlties remain. Ronilav, the prince of Elantia, and Atosennim, the princess of Mage country, are both at the age where they could take the throne of their country. But when Atosennim's father tries to force her into a marrage, the girl runs away, only to be captured by some hostile Elantians. She meets Ronilav, and quickly fall in love. Now they have to figure out how they can be with each other. So how does it sound? If people have any title suggestions let me know! |

Name of Book: The Hooded Archer The Black rose of York Genre: Historical fiction/Fastasy When Started: A bout 5 years ago, after reading the black arrow, learning medieval history Rating(G, PG, etc.): PG-13, I keep it clean Summary:It's my life dramatized into a story of a Young princess, that lives in the early-mid 14th century, not lavish living, but it's got a twisted plot. P.S I'm hoping to make or shall I say put together a costumes for the character, to make it more real. |

Ok so I didn't explain it all, but thats because the character has such a rich history that it's hard to put all down. And what I meant by my life dramatized was that my life is always interesting. I took it and added different characters, kept adding twists to the plot. |

I know what you mean. Sometimes, your plot just sounds... not what you would like, when you try to truncate it. ![]() If you think you need to ramble on about it... explain the complications - go ahead! ![]() |

Oh, I've been wanting to share my ideas about my book for awhile. Name of Book: Haven't thought of one yet Genre: Fantasy When Started: I think last year, but I'm not sure. Rating(G, PG, etc.): Probably PG-13. I think it's kinda gory for little kids. My younger brother didn't want to read some parts. Summary: There are four countires: Creet and Phesius, Hyiglen and Sycil. Creet and Hyiglen are at war. After taking Hyiglen's forest, the soldiers found that a girl had been fighting alongside them in armor. Creet's king would have had her executed, if Brudais, one of his warriors, had not rescued and hid her. After long consideration, Brudais decided to help train the girl, whose name is Dania, to fight in battle. The king found out and had her put to a test, which she passed easily. He gave her a place in his army. While their time together lengthened, Dania and Brudais grew a strong relashionship. War raged on for several months, but constantly Creet was defeated. During one particular battle, one of the captains and his men were captured by Hyiglen soldiers and brought back for torture. Brudais was heartbroken when he heard that Dania and his best friend were two of those that were captured. |
