Destiny of the Shadow Queen

At the fall of another night, darkness again conceals the color of day, and the land lay bare, shadowed, mysterious, waiting for the weary traveler to give in to the calls of the cold earth.
Lonely walks the lady of the stars, queen of the heavenly, her heart drained of color as is the night land around her.
No warm blood runs through her veins; sorrow and weeping is all she knows.
Silence surrounds the forest, not even her step is heard, as she slips silently between the dark and dreary trees which welcome her presence.
Her bluish grey silken gown shimmers beneath the moon, slim to her slender and delicate frame, but it only reflects the tears slipping down her pale face, like the stars of the night sky, a reminder of the pain of her past.
Haunted shadows flit around her, yet she takes no heed, for she is the master, the mistress.
She once had life, she once was color, she once was sunshine, and there once shimmered stars in her eyes, but all such changed when her heart was shattered.
Like glass dropped on stone, the shards of her still lay scattered over the land from which she ran.
A land now devoid of color, a land once called her home, a land in which she had found love, but now the ice clings to the barren ground in an endless winter of bitter sorrow.
What was love?
Was it but a word?
Was it only a feeling which lasted but a small while, then to be left to destroy the soul which carried it?
She held it in her hands, she felt it in her heart once before, yet now all that is but a memory, like a shadow, transparent, unable to be grasped or captured.
What does she feel now?
What thoughts come to her in her bitter wanderings among the darkest shadows of the night?
She feels death around her, as these shadows and lost souls grovel at her feet, taking her as their queen, their master, their mistress, seeing in her strength of steel beneath the bitter expression.
There is no feeling for her, skin so pale and eyes so lifeless, devoid of all but sadness, which clung to her fair features, so delicate, so overwhelmingly distressed.
At light of day, she must flee, for she would grieve to see the color of the land returning, while she yet remained grey, as would the haunting shadows that bore her still as their eternal queen.
So in shadow she hides, deep in the darkest forests of the land, hidden by her sorrow, fearful of the daylight.
Few may glimpse her, though one glance would tempt the wanderer to follow, and another shadow this stranger would become, touched by her beauty of sadness so cold and frail, seeming so harmless, yet proving so deadly.
One day, though prophecy may lie, there shall be another master, a master of the light and justice of all that is good and innocent.
He will be a warrior, strong and fearless of shadow, who will bring light to her heart, and feeling to her skin.
His touch will heal her and his voice will secure her.
Shadow and light shall combine in a glorious display of a finally sunset for the maiden’s world of shadowed souls, and the tears will cease, as the warrior restores the shadow queen and with gentle words, brings color to her pallid complexion.
Mistress and queen of the shadows she will be no more, as her eyes come alive when comes the day her gaze will fall upon the one who will hold her heart and kiss her brow, easing the pain and erasing the memories.
Love divine shall last till eternity, even then beyond; the queen of stars so fair and the warrior of light so noble, will find within one the other healing beyond compare.

Just a couple random poems...

I'm Run down and torn apart,
Tears flowing from the heart.
The pain grasps me from within,
Must be the worst I've ever been.
Fighting to bring myself to smile
I know it shall take quite a while.
The darkness makes it hard to see,
Surrounds my soul, and covers me.
Hold my hand and pull me through,
Release my pain; bring me to you.
One day I'll see the sun shine,
One day happiness will be mine.

-------------
Now this is a little more of a personal 'to heart' Poem...

It is the cold morning, the frightening night.
I’m not going to follow, not going to fight.
I’m not going to try and battle the tears,
Or follow mistakes made over the years.
I’ll learn from my past and look ahead,
And I’ll seek wisdom in the path I tread.
These tears I weep will clear my mind.
Beyond these tears, perhaps hope I’ll find.
“Seek on, go forward”, is now my goal,
And I’ll bear the burden and pay the toll.
I’ll cross the river which blocks my path.
When frustrations arrive, I will shun wrath.
I’ll jump the gap if there is no bridge found.
My feet will be steady even on shaky ground.
For there is something that keeps me going,
Even when the strongest winds are blowing.
It is you; it is your hand holding mine.
It is you; it is your tender care, so divine.
What awoke my spirit once more? It was you.
Always steadying my step; pulling me through,
Made me realize there is hope beyond despair,
And with this devotion given, my heart you repair.
