I'm not sure if this belongs in this section, but I couldn't figure out where else to put it, so I'll post it here and leave it to the Moderators to move it if they want to.
So, as you've probably figured out already, I'm after your favourite LotR quotes.
I'm getting a tattoo, and I'd really like a LotR quote in Sindarin. I haven't got the books in English, and it's been too long since I've read them for me to remember all the good quotes. So I had the [brilliant, I thought] idea to get you to tell me your favourites, and I can chose one of them.
So far I've thought about Gilraen's last words to Aragorn; "Ónen i-Estel Edain, ú-chebin estel anim", but I'd kinda like something a little happier, you know?
If your willing to help me, I'll be very grateful!

Will you be translating any quote into Sindarin, or are you wanting just the elvish quotes? Sorry if that's a stupid question.

If you want direct quotes all the ones from the movies and books are on A-U's elvish page...Of course I would do something like Aiya Earendil Elenion Ancalima...just cause it's cool (Is that Sindarin or Quenya though? I forget). But seriously, go check them out...

My thought was to translate a quote. I suppose I should have made that clear
Thanks Aerwyn, I'll check that out and see if I can find anything I like there!

The idea was to get it in Tengwar And no, I haven't had it done yet because I could never really find a quite I liked. I did find one now though, so I'm working on making sure the translation is correct and trying out different styles for it. Also I have so many other ideas for tattoos that I can't quite decide what to get first What did you want to get?

I was thinking of getting my name in tengwar on my inner forearm. Then maybe a quote on the other forearm. I'd have to think of which quote though, maybe when Aragorn says '' There is Always Hope''

"Not all those who wander are lost" which in Elvish translates to "Il ilya ya rana ier wanwa". "There is always hope" is a good one, too

How about the one in my sig? "How do you pick up the threads of an old life. . .how do you go on, when in your heart, you begin to understand, there is no going back."

Aww, yeah, that is actually one of my favorites. But I'm thinking of putting it on my foot, so it would be a little too long. And since I'm having it in elvish I would like to have something where I can actually remember the words, and there would just be too many in that quote

My Sindarin Tengwar tattoo isn't a quote from the book or from the films.. It's a quote from one of the songs in the films.. This one.The line "Dorthach vi mar han" which means "Are you part of this world" (I missed out the question mark because my Quenya Tengwar tattoo doesn't have a question mark and I thought it would look too odd (Quenya is on my right foot, Sindarin on my left foot so they're a pair )) Well technically it says "Dwell you in land this" or something but you get the gist...
