It's all about about the ring being an evil object and people around it will be influenced differently according to their nature.

Yes but that cannot be the only reason, the ring is totally evil. That it affects people? Sauron and Morgoth could affect people aswell.

So could Gandalf. He too was a maia!
What I mean is the ring is an object of evil (as you stated too) and it works for evil and twists everything according to this.
I don't believe e.g. Sauron and Morgoth were completely evil, they were living beings, had feelings, emotions, beliefs and values. We might call them evil but that's just one point of view... they might have seen it differently because they had a purpose by acting the way they did. (the discussion on what is good and what is evil).
But the ring is an object, a thing and workd only for one purpose!

About the ring being an evil machine.
I don't think that inanimate objects are evil. One is evil when they are intentionaly doing evil to others, and tehy know right from wrong. A machine does not know right from wrong, it knows only what it is told to do.
I have always thought of the ring as more than an inatimate object. Almost like it is conscience, bent on destruction, killing, and being mean.
I think of it as Sauron placed a bit of himself in the ring, the evil part of himself.

it may have been nessicery for him to die to achieve salvation.he sold his soul to the ring and then died a martyrs death and made a final confession to Aragorn and came out a winner in the end.By dying so well he obtained the final victory so its not actually a bad thing but a good thing.

But we cannot compare the Ring with a robot or a machine.

It had awareness. (Slipping from Isildurs finger at the river. Escaping from Gollum..Wanting to get back to Sauron)

Can I qoute myself? Oh well. I said that machines cannot be evil, not that the ring was a machine. just so you know. Yeah. I agree with you completely.
