Really wierd, but if you look at the descriptions of him in the first bits of The Silmarillion (the Ainulindale, and "Of the Valar," etc.), he's actually a lot like me, he just takes everything way too far. I find I'm possessive, like he is, and I do find some join in the possession along with the making, like Morgoth, whereas Aule just enjoys the making. So, yeah. I relate to Morgoth.
I like the descriprions of Morgoth in the Silmarilion... After all he's just a misunderstood kid wanting to explore his creative talents in a way the majority didn't like. - And yes, he happened to be quite the strong and hot-tempered kid, so he took it way too far as you say!! But I do see what you mean. I think I understand Morgoth's motives in the first place and I see how you might relate to him, but please... don't take it to the edge as he did! lol
