Galadriel should be the majority winner, she's my fav character did a lot to help all the free peoples, she's the noblest elf in middle-earth and like her ring she's as strong as adamant, and she's like what, over 9,000 years old

Act6ually, Nerwen isn't quite her last name. At birth an elf is given to names. Her father called her Nerwen (man-woman) for her strength. And they other one I forgot. Anyways, then Celeborn called her Alatariel and she translated that into, I think it was sindarin elvish, which made Galadriel.

I remember something about her name being in the Sil I'm not sure though. I haven't read Unfinished Tales either. I own it but I haven't read it.

I love Galadriel but Eowyn is my fave. I'm surprised more people didn't vote for Arwen. Tons of people seem to love her around here.

Lady Galadriel is my fav my Elf friend! She is soo beautiful and wise. And somehow mysterious.

I narrowed it down to either Galadriel or Eowyn. I chose Eowyn because I like how Tolkien portrayed her. Not necessarily wise, but she was proof that there are women out there who can fight and be more than housewives. That's why I'm particularly fond of her. She's brave. Now if we were talking about wisdom, my vote would go to Galadriel.

Galadriel also because she is very kind... she takes the Fellowship in, even though she knows what evil she is allowing into her land (the ring). I think that says alot for her personality!

Oh so Galadriel was not always Galadriel, she used to be Alatariel. What a beautiful name!!!!!

My favorite is definatly Eowyn.

I choose Galadriel because she did alot to help those in need and she is the wisest and noblest elf living. And I believe she's around 15, 000 years old. Some may find her evil at first, but it's expected since she's been alive for so long you kind of become a little straight forward and have to be careful who you let into your lands in times of danger. I also love her because she's so well rounded. She's married to someone she loves, like Arwen, and she is wise and beautiful and if she were to fight, like Eowyn, I'm sure she would have been a great and survived. Who knows, maybe she did fight in the Noldorin rebelion...

But this doesn't mean I don't love Arwen and Eowyn as well:

Arwen is great as well. She hold a more quiet strength then the rest. Though it may seem like she didn't do much, giving up your immortality is no easy business and it's something to think about. Some find her annoying because of her outside appearance, though I find that no rightful way judge a person.

Eowyn is awesome. She's strong and has a lot of will power. Though she may have been wrong in some things, she is smart and determined. I think she is more favored then others because she is more frequently, position we can relate to and she is closer to human heart and experiences the similar emotions. She's relateable to.

Rosie is adorable. She is more suited for those who like the dancing fun loving type. In my opinion.

Goldberry is cool. She is so smooth in speech. She seems to suit those who like the admired and beautiful.

All our fair maidens rock!
