I had to go with Eowyn and Faramir. I think I like how they both come out of really screwed up lives and emotions, to find each other. And I love how they find more than physical healing in the Houses of Healing.

But Aragorn and Arwen are close behind; as are Sam and Rosie. The latter is just so sweet.... that everyone thinks he's gone for good, but she still waits for him. There's just something nice about him coming home to the girl he's always wanted to marry.

Yup, definately Aranel. I love how Tolkien did that... a superb demonstration of people who are different being able to be friends. *huggles them both* Besides... they're bothe cute... in different ways. :P

Oh yes I also like the scene with Legolas and Gimli a lot. It shows their friendship very well and I also like the idea of an unusual friendship.

eh? What would be weird?? I wanted to say that it was unusual that elves and dwarves were friends and that I like it that they were friends even though they were completely different from each other and it was very unusual..

I agree with you there Vikingmaiden.
Eowyn and Faramir are a perfect couple. I think that you are right when you said that what they looking for all along was eachother.

Eowyn/Faramir, but only by a very close margin. I love how they find each other so unexpectedly. I also love Sam/Rosie, and how they grew up together, and waited so long, and finally had a simple life together. Third would be Frodo/Sam, because that is such an awesome friendship. It's just so...so...you know what I mean.

Eowyn/Faramir. I loved how their romance was so real, and not quite as perfect-fairytale like Aragron & Arwen.

*coughs* what about Sam and Rosie?

My favorite couple is Arwen and Aragorn, as may be seen through my signature, etc. ;) I love how she gave up so, so much for him- for the sake of love.
