Oh, yup...sure...hehe, I'm the worst.... I admit it, I get so easily distracted.... er... where were we....

But yes... most people love Varda...she's so easy to love....so eternal, so appealing, so perfect!! Tolkien made her a a character no one can put a finger on.... and it takes more to love the more complex characters. Let me bring up Aulë again... he made the dwarfs even he knew he wasn't meant to create....er... ok... I couldn't take the discussion back to Aulë in a natural way *goes to hide in shame or something like that...*

I VOTED FOR AULE!!!!!!. I think he's my fav because he is a crafer of the earth and loves it and he could have gone that same way as Morgoth but he didn't . On a car trip a while back I learnt all of the Valar and their spouses and occupation.

At the begining my favourite was Yavanna - maybe because my name is almost like it (Ivana is my name and actually it sounds almost the same). But when I learnt that the elves (my fav race) admire mostly Varda she became my fav. And she still is, Varda Elentari or Elbereth...

My favourite Vala is Ulmo, because he has to do with the sea ans I love the sea very much; the other thing is that he never forgot middle-earth and helped the people there so often.
I like all the other Valar also, everyone has his or her own fascination, but Ulmo comes at first of them
