I'm reading The Silmarillion right now, but after that, I think I might read LotR again.

OK, you officially have my eternal admiration, mellon. *bows*
The first time, it took me three months (I had to put it down for a month, because I wasn't getting my assigned reading done and my mom got mad).
Erm... don't remember all the times... but this summer, I read it in three days. It was amazing, just living and breathing LotR like that.
I read it first at a pretty young age, because my parents said I had to before seeing the movies, but soon was totally enthralled. Now I'm at 7 times (which I thought was pretty good before reading how many times Aerandir has read it in the same amount of time). I would have read it more except for that bane of my existance... school.

The same with me. It's amazing how much more time you have for reading during the summer! Hah. That's where I get most of my reading done...even though we normally have some time at school.
Bye!

The first time, I think it took about a month and a half or so, but only because I had to wait for The Two Towers and The Return of the King to come in at the library. (I was dumb and only put The Fellowship of the Ring on hold...lol) The second time around, I think it took about 2 or 3 weeks and that was only because I was in school. Next time I read them I'm going to try and beat that!

I started Hobbit in 7th grade, that took about a day. I saw the trilogy+hobbit box set at Sam's for $15 6 months later, so I immediately purchased it. I read Fellowship in 3 days, Two Towers in 2 1/2, and I pulled off Return of the King in ONE DAY! I loved it so much I have since reread them all. I saw Silmarillion at the end of that year, read it in a day also. Can you tell I read fast? I remember reading about 100 pages in one double-hour class in 7th grade...

Lets see... I was ten... It took me three days to read everything in the trilogy, including the appendacies. It would take me about 5-10 hours now...

5-10 hours? That's pretty sweet. What's your (approximate) words-per-minute reading speed?

Lol, Aerlinn. Yeah, I do. Roughly. It's somewhere around 550 words per minute, and that's when I go slower so as to have 100% comprehension. If I just want to read through something but I don't necessarily care about comprehending it.....it's a lot faster, but doesn't really count.

The most recent time I read it, it took me about... 5 days, I think, to do the whole thing. That was probably reading around 2 1/2 hours per day, because if I read for a while it's somewhere between 3 and 5 PM.
