I recommend thouroughly those of you who like Lore to read the 'Tale of Adanel'. It is in page 345 of Morgoth's Ring but I will provide a link to it. http://tolkienforums.activeboard.com/index.spark?forumID=77580&p=3&topicID=8702623 It is only short and it explains how the First Men in Middle-earth became corrupted and how they turned from the Voice of Eru to the Voice of the Dark, which Melkor made them believe was Eru, and he was the Voice of Light (but we know its the other way around). |

Wow, that was a long read. But very interesting! I actually never thought about it, and did not even know what the Tale of Adanel was. I guess i will have to buy some more books to widen my knowlegde of Tolkien. Thanks LOA ( Lord of all! ) |

Quite an interesting read, however that is not the main point of my post. I'd like to say that the two maps in your sig Lord Of All caught my attention immediately. Where did you find them? After studying them for a few minutes I find it easier to understand the change mentioned in the Silmarillion. It also gave me a better idea of where places are in relation to others. Maybe you could post these in another thread for reference? |

You really need to get 'The Atlas of Tolkien's Middle-earth' by Karen fonstadd. It gives you loads of these kinds of maps that are hard to find on the internet. |
