Is anyone else having trouble getting a copy of The Children of Húrin? I went to Borders today and they said they were sold out and they didn't know when they'd get more. Barnes & Noble said the same thing. Now, this is probably my own fault for waiting almost a week, but I just wondered if anybody else is having problems. (I finally had to order it off Amazon but it won't come till at least Wednesday. :disgust: )

I don't even know if it's out here... I haven't seen it anywhere here, but of course I haven't been out in any of the malls since it came out.

yeah that's the best thing you can do if you can't find it in a book shop. In many countries it's the best way to get Tolkien books actually.

Just finished it. The story is basically what's in Unfinished Tales, way more detailed than what's in The Sil. It tells more about Túrin's childhood and his sister Lalaith, and his lame friend Sador (or "Labadal") whom he meets up with later on. Too much to type it all out now - plus I'd spoil it for you guys. ;) Anyway, while it's not the happiest story ever, I think it's good.
