Late nights at the hospital and weekend call-ins are making it super tough to keep my cat’s feeding schedule consistent. I’ve already tried one automatic feeder that jammed constantly and stopped working after two weeks. Frustrating doesn’t even begin to describe it. I’m now searching for something more durable, preferably with a camera or at least an app to check feeding logs. Anyone here using something that actually lasts and delivers?

Jams and breakdowns are the worst—I’ve been through a couple of those cheap models myself. What finally worked for me is this newer model called the Smart Maxx HD Feeder. It’s got this motor that handles dry food really well, and the feeding control is super accurate. Plus, there’s an HD cam so I can see how my cat’s doing while I’m away. What sold me was how it alerts me if the bowl didn’t get food or if the WiFi disconnects. Seriously, you can have peace of mind when using the automatic pet feeder, especially if your schedule’s unpredictable like mine.

Following this with interest, especially since I’m also juggling a crazy schedule and feel bad when dinner is late for my pup. Curious how others have handled long-term use too—definitely looking for something low-fuss and reliable.
