Hey everyone, I recently heard there have been some updates to visa policies for Dominica passport holders. I’m planning to travel soon, so I’m a bit worried if these changes will affect my visa-free access to certain countries. Has anyone here noticed any major shifts or restrictions lately? I want to make sure I’m not caught off guard at the border or need to apply for visas where I didn’t before.

I actually looked into this recently because I have a friend who just got their Dominica passport, and we were checking which countries they could visit visa-free. There have been some subtle changes, especially with a few countries tightening their entry requirements or switching from visa-free to e-visa options for Dominica citizens. For example, some places in Africa and Asia that were previously visa-free now require an electronic visa or prior approval, which wasn’t the case a year ago. It’s definitely a good idea to double-check before booking anything. I found a really detailed and updated resource here:dominica visa free countries 2025 — they break down all the current countries and note recent changes. From what I read, the core travel freedom remains strong, especially in the Caribbean, Europe, and parts of South America, but travelers should be cautious about smaller or less-visited destinations that may have changed policies recently. It’s not about losing access completely, but more about needing a little extra paperwork now in some cases.

It’s probably smart to keep an eye on official embassy sites as well, just in case. Staying flexible with travel plans sounds key these days.
