Post subject: | Registering a company in Cyprus |
Has anyone recently gone through the company registration process in Cyprus? What are the realistic timeframes and potential pitfalls? There's a lot of conflicting information online. I'm planning to open a small IT company, working with EU clients. I'd like to understand what documents are actually required and whether everything can be completed online. |

If you prepare the documents in advance, company registration in Cyprus takes 7 to 10 business days. I used https://cyprusregister.com . They handle the process online. You choose a name and structure, upload KYC documents (passport, address, source of funds), and lawyers submit everything to the registry. After the electronic signature, the company is registered, and you receive digital certificates. They have fixed rates, with no hidden fees. |

The main thing is to choose the right company structure and check the availability of the name in advance. Some banks may request video verification, but this is standard procedure. It's also worth considering in advance whether you need VAT and UBO registration, as this affects the timeframe. |
