Who else here doesn't like him? Lol, I'm in the middle of reading the Silmarillion, and Feanor has just come in, and I really don't like him. He's not very nice to Fingolfin at all! Does anyone elses think so too?? |

I can't say I particularly like him - he's arrogant and greedy, but also I think was a bit misled. I had to say no though, cause he was VERY mean to the other elves. XD |

Well I like him! He`s my favourite character in the whole book. So what if he overreacted sometimes... who doesnt? And hes interesting. Most other elves are not special. He is. |

This is no easy question for me... I like him, because he forged the Silmarils and because he hated Morgoth so much and wanted to do something against him, but on the other hand he was disobedient to the Valar, he was the first elf who killed other elves, he was very arrogant, he swore that terrible oath and he thought he could be more powerful than the strongest of the Valar... |

Lol, yeah, I am in the middle of it and as i read more, the more i feel sorry for him rather than hate him, lol. I like it when he speaks thought. He talks coolishly, lol. |

Pah. I don't like him at all. He caused immense destruction and sorrow to come upon the Noldorin elves. He caused a lot of damage that would otherwise not have been, and he didn't do much himself to bring down Morgoth. He abandoned Fingolfin, killed many of the Teleri and stole their ships, and all because he wanted to be the only one with the Silmarils. |

I think, above all, that I don't like him because he was greedy. He wanted the Silmarils all for himself - and he WASN'T prepared to share. That takes off sveral points in my opinion. |

I think is SO difficult to answer that... I like Fëanor cause he is a great character, he is not only inteligent, he's brilliant, he has more talent than all the other elves. The only problem is his personality, he did so many wrong and stupid things that it's easy to hate him. I think he deserves a lot of hate, but we can't deny his talent, his skills and his power. That's just my opinion....

Aww, he died...i didn't want him to die...i just wanted him to change a little...sigh, and i almost thought he was going to change too...hmm, that's depressing. I really like Maedhros too, i bet it hurt when his hand got cut off... but it's better than dying i suppose. |

I didn't put an answer, simply because I have mixed feelings. He was a genius and used his mind (making of Jewels) well. Unfortunately, his firey heart counteracted that, so I'm stuck with two sides of a person and I like one yet dislike the other. |

ugh i could not stand Feanor, so arogant and foolish riding to Angbad alone? who would do that? he dident even make it to Melkor before he got killed by the balrogs, I do give him credit for creating the Sil's and palantri, of course. But aside from that i starting not liking him when they were in Valinor and he said something nasty to poor ol Fingolfin who was trying to be the good guy and help out. |

Hahaha my vote is crucial. 5-5
Feanor is one of my favourites characters. He has a very strong will, probably more than he should and generally his character is very "fiery" if I could say something like this. Ok he treated the others like they were lesser than him but he was too pride not to do that. After all he was the best craftsman that ever existed. No-one could create something that even look like the Silmarils. And what I really like is that he rode to Angmar all alone to take the Silmarils. Yeah I really like him.

lol, oops, sorry for dissing your hubby Arwen She-Elf, lol. I think you know, now looking back on it, Hate was a little too strong a word. I guess i didn't hate him..I just...disliked him. And I really don't think he deserved to die. That was just sad. |
