Ungoliant. She might not have been created by Morgoth, but she joined him, and she destroyed the Two Trees of Valinor. Even after that, her thirst still could not be quenched. She would have gotten Morgoth too (at least kept him prisoner), but his Balrogs rescued him.

I don't know: Balrogs or Dragons... But definetly not the orcs! Especially in the movies the orcs seem so weak. They seem so easy to kill.. But if you have enough of them...

no, but during the war of the ring the strongest creatures left over from melkors era were the dragons of the north in my opinion

Hm... I'd say that Balrogs and Dragons are pretty much on a par with each other... they are both extremely dangerous and inflict major damage... though maybe dragons have slightly more fear about them because some of them (e.g. Glaurung) can hold people in spells, e.g. Nienor!

Yes, it is possible to delete a post. There should be an "x" button on the upper right hand corner of your post. But the option to delete a post is only given to the very latest post you put on that thread. So you can't delete any posts above your latest one. That's what I learned.

Yeah I actually just figured that out yesterday (about deleting posts).
I said balrogs before but then I read that they were second after dragons. If you see my post in "do balrogs have wings?" you'll see where I got it from. So I change my answer to dragons.

You're very welcome. It's not mentioned anywhere, so we all have to find out by ourselves.
Balrogs or dragons . . . hmmm. I don't know. Which one looks scarier? Hmmm. I can't really judge unless I'm standing in front of them in real life which I would rather not do. . .

Oh, now suddenly Morgoth has created the Balrogs? How on earth could he have done that? Balrogs are Maiar, they could not have been created by Morgoth! He corrupted them, yes, but he did not create them.
And Dragons, were they created by Morgoth? No one knows, because no tale tells of their origins.
And now the question is: what did Morgoth create?
