One thing you can do for news is follow the hobbit official on fb, twitter etc... follow wetta workshop, all the organizations that post their updates, news bits etc...

Yeah, typically double posting is frowned upon. I did it several times when I started so it's just one of those things everyone has to find out. *shrugs*


This is a good idea, however. I've looked up some news from the official sites but as of yet we are not able to put it up on the front unit I hear back from the mods.

News is a great idea, it would be good if we could include more site/forumbased news too, maybe like a contest or something, just so we're no parroting ToRN all the time

Jax, I've noticed a couple of times where you've offered Graphics, have you made them yourself or asked permission from the artist? Some people get very upset if they find their work posted without their knowledge or the proper credits

The graphics I have offered have been my banners. (Which I did not make but were made for me) The edit above I did. I figured since the banners were made in years past by members here on the forum for me I didn't think it would hurt. Though, thanks for the word of caution, that is a good thing to keep in mind.

I've had a lot on my plate and my computer broke so I had to get a new one and whatnot. I'm still game for being part of a news team, but I don't want to be the only one keeping it up like it felt I was before. With how my life looks right now I just can't make the commitment to carry the load alone.

However, once I get photoshop installed on my computer again (as I said, new computer, no programs installed) I could possibly help out with some graphics. I do know a bit of CSS coding but again, I can't take on something that huge right now.

Sounds good Bellatrix! I would be willing to post a bit of news as well and I think Synariel said she would be also. I am unsure how you get access, however, and the mods I talked to said they didn't know either.
