The ranks are always fun. I remember climbing the ranks and having a mini celebration thread in the Misc. Randomness for everyone who got their new rank. That was always a lot of fun.

Actually, that was another thing I had forgotten about this site. I think the whole megapostcount for a custom title was one of the reasons I didn't post very much here. I never got any joy from posting for posting's sake just to increase count. I ain't no elf or halfelf. I liked the Dunedan title and wanted to keep it.

Yeah, there are certainly some titles that I hated to see go. lol
I myself always liked the ranks, but I guess it varies from person to person. (naturally)

That's cool. Honestly I reckon most will go unanswered, however... I did that way back when and litteraly sent out messages to the first 740 or more members on the members list. After getting 3 responses only (none of whom actually stuck around) I kind of lot the... drive to keep going. Maybe I should start up again.

Yeah, that is pretty much the way it will be I'm sure. Seven Forty! I'm impressed! It is likely most don't use the same email they had back then so never get any notifications of a message or a thread becoming active.

There seems to be a bit more activity of some of the Tolkien sites. I'm not exactly sure why because The Hobbit films did nothing to increase it, but I'm certainly not complaining.
