right now im starting to think that fans won't let them make the movie without Pj. i mean look as everthing people are doing and saying just from whats going on now.think of what might happen if they acually tried to make the movie. and i can asure you that it will bomb at box office. hopefully they can take a hint....and soon......fans just don't want a hobbit movie with our pj and everyone from weta. (well most fans anyway) new line and mgm are being incredible stupid and i think this whole thing has turned into somthing bigger then it has to be.

I signed it! But I cant believe that he might actually not make it! If he doesnt who else? And they need to use the same characters! If PJ doesnt direct it I think that the real lotr fans will not go to see it. Then The Hobbit will make no money and they will all regret not have PJ direct it But I do think that we all should do something to prevent this. We need to show PJ how much we love him. He cant let us all down!

I got a shock too, and i was like "What?!!". I can't belive Peter Jackson is not going to direct The Hobbit. I hope they still use all the same characters in it, because it will just mess it up if they don't.

I had not heard that he could not be doing the Hobbit. As many of you have been saying, the Hobbit could not be what the Lord of the Rings had been without Peter Jackson. After all he had been the one to create Middle Earth for all of those who have been to his movies and another director would have a different interpretion. Furthmore the director of Spider Man [though I have enjoyed his previous two films] is not one for this to be left to. I can actually imagine what his interpretion of the Hobbit would be... That would be cheesy.
