Hi. I've been hearing the people on these boards talk about a hobbit movie. I just realized: there won't be one! It's because of that nassssty little prologue before the Fellowship of the Ring. :explode: It basically tells the whole story of the Hobbit. Grr...

yeah exactly. The prologue doesn't exactly tell the Hobbit story, not even really a summary of it.
So I think you won't have to worry because of that, Erulisse.
The problem is a whole different one as Aerlinn said

Yeah, the prologue didn't tell the whole story of the Hobbit, just the basic summary of how the ring was found.

I really wish PJ were directing it and they had all of the same actors, i.e. - Ian McKellan as Gandalf, etc.

Hopefully we'll get our Hobbit movie soon.

I'm somewhat against a hobbit movie, but I won't get into that...

Like they said, The Fellowship didn't tell the story of The Hobbit at all - just how the ring was found (basically). You should really read the book. It's very fun. :)

Don't worry, there's plenty left for them to tell about in the movie. :)

The prologue didn't tell the Hobbit at all... the Hobbit's story, if you remember, concerns The Dragon and The Mountain, etc...

Riddles in the Dark is just a chapter which happens to lead to the whole LOTR Trilogy. That's all they really showed anyway.

yeah it was just telling how Gollum lost the ring and Bilbo found it.when they make the movie it will just count as a handy flashback between the Hobbit and the main trilogy.i mean u cant actually leave that part out when telling the story of the ring.
