^ It might seem a bit of a waste, but after all, those sets weren't build to last 10 years, and their upkeep would have cost money, too, not to mention the space they take up. PJ and the rest seem well financed and their budget must seem huge compared to what they had to work with on LotR! (I'm not positive about the numbers, but I'm pretty sure it's a whole lot more. ) In fact, when he was walking through and talking about how the Goblin Cave set was a labyrinth, I was thinking of a moment on one of the commentaries when Elijah and Sean A. said they would see the exact same styrofoam rocks over and over on all the sets! By the way, does anyone know how often he is going to do these blogs? Is it just going to be whenever he feels like it, or is he going to do them fairly regularly?

Martin Freeman carrying that ax made me sqee I'm not sure he's said anything specific about how often he'll be doing the videos, but he did say that there'd be a lot of them coming in the future, so it seems to me they'll be a somewhat regular thing. Yay

Martin Freeman in general makes me squee.... He's just so... squeeable... I dunno. I was super stoked to see him in Bag End with all the Dwarves. And PJ's comment about the fan for Ian?!?! SO FUNNEH!! I think we have our first Hobbit meme...

Do my eyes deceive me, or is Adam Shankman sitting a few seats down from Martin Freeman during the Maori ceremony thingy? WHAT is he doing there? He's a dancer! Well, a choreographer, anyway. What's he doing on The Hobbit set?

The voice at the end of the clip is Martin Freeman. O.o he sounds so much like Ian Holm. It's scary...

It makes me really excited to hear how alike they sound. Martin Freeman is going to be so perfect as Bilbo! *mandatory squee for Martin Freeman*

The video made me so happy as well! Amazing that everything is coming together. I got into LotR right after I saw TTT and I was too young to know the culture of looking things up and getting into the hype. So this is definitely the first (and so far, only) time in my life that I am getting so excited during a film's production. The whole part where PJ walks through Elrond's chamber, if it had lasted any longer, I would have gone blind from straining to see everything in the background so intensely. I love the elven architecture! So cute how PJ was so excited, and that scene with the arm/leg was so funny. ^^

Even though without having really seen Martin Freeman in the role of Bilbo yet I totally think they nailed it when they cast him! It's about the most exciting casting choice for this film!

Anameleth wrote: Did you see the latest video posted, where he walks through the sets and stuff? SO COOL I know, right? It's so wonderful to see everyone again... And to see all the work that's going on with The Hobbit. So nice it's actually happening. Admittedly, I was too young when the movies came out, and I was "obsessed" with it, but only in the sense that I liked it becuase everyone else did. Now, obvously I have a much more independent sense than that, and I think for myself. I'm more of a fan of the books than the movie (because I'm a downer like that), but this is still so amazing, and I'm extremely excited to see it in theaters. I've already had several dreams about walking into the theater and seeing it. Everything turns dark, the whispers die down....AND THEN..... I wake up.
