How are you going to celebrate the film of "The Hobbit?" I'm going to decorate my room Mirkwood-style. :kick: ;-) So what about you all?

I'm not sure yet. I plan to go see it that's for sure.

Oo, that sounds really cool! How are you going to do it?

I'm not sure what I'll be doing. Maybe bake some Lembas bread and get together with my nerdiest friends to geek out and celebrate. And if I don't go to see it at least three times in the theater I'll consider myself a failure in life. ;)

I might dress up for the midnight showing and force my husband (who already looks pretty hobbity) to join me :D

First, I'll reread (OK, re-re-re-re-read the book. Give or take a few re's.). Then I plan on going to see the movie as many times as I can afford. I played with the idea of making a costume, but maybe just a piece of one like Gandalf's hat would be better.

Once both Hobbit movies come out, do you think the theaters might have a movie marathon with all of the Middle Earth movies? That would be awesome. :)

Since I've already re-re-re-read the book, I'll drag everyone I can find with me to the theatre, to go and see it at least 3 times. And if no-one wants to come, I'll just go by myself! And maybe I'll give Lembas making another try, since I failed at it last time.

That's awesome! I wish I had more friends that were as into Lord of the Rings as I am...
I plan to take the design from the movie and use that.

I'd LOVE that.

I plan on taking my friend to see it in IMAX. We had a deal. I'd go see the Hunger Games with her , and she'd see The Hobbit with me. :) I saved a gift card from my last birthday especially for The Hobbit.

Sadly, both parts of The Hobbit will be released smack dab in the middle of my college finals week. >:( So I'll celebrate as much as I can by listening to the soundtracks while I'm studying and watching the trilogy during my study breaks. If I'm lucky, I may go to see the movies over the weekend... although I really would like to see a midnight showing, since I didn't get to see any of the trilogy movies in theaters. :-(

Otherwise, I plan on re-reading the book and seeing the movie in theaters multiple times. :)

Lembas bread sounds like a great theater snack! Thanks for the idea, Taur. :)

AHHHHHHHH that is SUCH a great idea, alas, i will be away from all of my LotR peoples so i will have to find a totally new group and dress up. HOPEFULLY i will be able to go to the midnight showing :))

so far i have re-read the hobbit and i have been making lists of specific things to make sure PJ gets it right in the movie.
