(From a personal and totally selfish perspective, couldn't they have announced this BEFORE I wrote all the cast bios and added The Hobbit: Part III to every single one of them, which I now have to change. :P)

Love that they titled Part II The Desolation of Smaug. It sounds awesome, it gives us a pretty clear picture of the breaks in the movies, and it seems to be a good middle ground sort of name.


But at least waiting until July 2014 is better than waiting until December 2014!
