For me, it all depends on how they build up the momentum. If they get it right, it will be awesome. If the focus of most of the movie is on huge battle scenes like TTT, I probably won't be quite as enthusiastic about it as I was about An Unexpected Journey.

But I'll be seeing it no matter what, so I'll find out eventually. :D

From the Hobbit Legolas photos they have so far, I think Legolas won't be as big and he looks different too :'(

Very very very sad in my opinion. I also think it will be exciting. Do you know what movie the attack on Dul Guldur is in?

Dol Guldur - Wikipedia wrote:
The initial movie shows Dol Guldur as a massive castle in ruins, situated on a hill. It is visited by the wizard Radagast, who has a brief skirmish with the shade of the Witch-king of Angmar, before encountering the Necromancer and swiftly departing to tell Gandalf what he has discovered.

I think this is the answer too far...

So that means that the Dol Guldur scene was in An Unexpected Journey?

It has been shown in An Unexpected Journey. But I wonder will Peter Jackson might bring it in any other part :) .

The part in An Unexpected Journey is the one where they start to think that Sauron might not be gone and that he might be in Dol Guldur. Later on in the story, Gandalf convinces the others to attack Dol Guldur and drive the Necromancer out, which is when they realize that the Necromancer and Sauron is the same. They'll probably show bits of this in both of the coming movies.

It's not going to be as good.

I doubt I'm going to see it or the third one.

For one reason: Tauriel.

Now excuse me while I go smash stuff up. Makes me so angry thinking about it.

^I get that you have doubts, Hravan, but what I don't get is that you don't seem willing to even give the movies a chance. We really don't know very much about what Tauriel's role in the story will be at all, so why are you letting the fact that she's been added ruin these movies for you? They added a female character, so what? Big deal. Until you see the movies, and can actually say that she was given a bigger role than what would be natural, I don't think you should, or even have a reason to, react like this.

I have heard rumors that Tauriel is not a main character in the Desolation of Smaug. I also have heard that she will fall in love with Kili or Dwalin I do not know if this is true or not it's just a rumor

I hope Peter Jackson stick with the main story and don't add more of his Fan Fiction. I also must remind you that Christopher Tolkien banned any more production of his father's works and I think the Fan Fictions are the reasons.
