It's a pity that they didn't have enough time for a Comic Con panel this year, but maybe they will with the final installment, so keep your fingers crossed.

I think I've watched it about 15 times since it was released

It looked wonderful, as ever. It's sad that Peter Jackson won't be able to attent Comic Con, but some pretty cool stuff was shown in the production video. Personal favorites:
- the 'unwrapping' of Dale. So clever to just wrap it up until you need it again!
- Lee Pace as Thranduil in a huge flowing silver gown. Can't wait to see him walk around in that in the movie.
- everything with Laketown, because it looks exactly as I hoped and imagined it would look
- Dwarvicise. No explanation needed.

I think Laketown looks WAY more epic than I imagined! (which, I think, is a good thing!)
I love that PJ can still joke with us when it comes to these. I like that he doesn't take himself so seriously!

I'm excited to see more of Thranduil, and I love the conception behind his palace/city! I never really knew what to expect from the book's description.
