What do u guys think will happen to Tauriel in There and Back Again? I am terrified that she will die!!!! Online there is nothing about her dying or anything.

Hopefully, they will kill her off. Her existance takes away the beauty of things that happen in LotR (Gimli falling for Galadriel), or makes her look like a massive Mary Sue. (Like, um curing Kili with one spell, when even Arwen an elven princess couldn't cure Frodo.)

I think that she's gonna die. Just saying it aloud. But I don't want that she dies. I know she's not on the books, but there must be feminine character in the movie. 'Cause of that, PJ made Arwen's role bigger. And he did the same with Eowyn. In the Hobbit, there isn't any female characters. So, the movie needs them. And.. if Tauriel is dying.. I'm gonna be angry. Probably more angry when I saw Haldir die.

What if?

I know PJ killed Haldir, but he was the only named character to die during Helms Deep. I mean, it would be kind of lame if there was this huge battle, and no one we know dies. Not that I was happy about Haldir's death, I cried the first time I saw it, but now I understand why.
The Battle of 5 Armies is different. Three of our favorite characters are taken from us, so it's not like there are no deaths. Thorin is a main character, and in the movies, so is Kili. So while the theater is sobbing, I hope they don't decide to take our other favorite character away too.
In pretty sure that Tauriel will fight, and I'm nearly positive that there will be a dramatic, sad scene when Kili dies.
As for Tauriel, I'm really hoping that she will survive!!! I don't see a need to kill another character, while three already have to die. So, with luck, I will leave the theater crying, but relieved that Tauriel still lives...
But maybe I just typed this out to release the fear I have. hopefully Tauriel will live...and I hope they confirm something soon...I can't stand the uncertainty! It's agonizing!

It certainly is.. But again.. I'm gonna cry the most when Smaug gets shot and falls down from the sky. I know it's a bit weird to care about a dragon who's gonna kill everyone, but I do care, and this is why I hate Bard, and I'm would be sooo glad to see one of his children die just in front of him. Well.. back to the subject. Tauriel. I'm gonna weep like a baby if she dies. But then.. She's not in the books. She's not in Lotr. She must be get out of the story someway. And for that the battle of the five armies is a perfect chance... No. I stop this now. Right now. She is not gonna die. If she dies Legolas will be sad, and that brokes me copletely. No. Tauriel is not dying. She's not.

Hopefully she will die and that will be the only scene in the next film that I will ever watch and I will cheer on whichever awesome orc/goblin/whatever kills her.

I seriously doubt Tauriel will die because of Dragon fire. IF she dies, she will die after Kili's death. PJ wouldn't have it any other way.
But...she is not going to die. She is going to bring Kili's runestone to Dís.

She could have been one of the Elven guards guarding Gollum.
Or, she is the captain of the guard, so Thranduil wouldn't just let her go to Rivendell, when she is needed in Mirkwood.
If she is going to die, I hope they confirm it soon!
