Heh heh. Imagine. Shelob was hard. Let's see them make a whole bunch of Giant Spiders.

I kinda want the hobbit to be made and I kinda don't. I do because I loved that book and if I'm honest probably loved it more than any of the LotR books. But it was different to LotR, like an earlier draft of M-E.

And if they did do it, the only LotR actors I'd expect to see back would be Ian Mckellen, Hugo Weaving & Andy Serkis. I would like to see it done just to see Hugo dressed up in Elrond attire again hehe

I've read that it would be directed by someone else-a PJ's friend... i think it would be very nice to make Hobbit although most of the LOTR characters wont play in it...

I am sure PJ has already been swamped with both e-mails, letters, and petitions. It's his decision. :disgust:

New Line and MGM have the rights to the Hobbit. It is overall their decision on who can direct and who can't. PJ was kicked out of directing a few months ago because of a lawsuit We..something Films had with New Line. However, that does not mean he may not bounce back and direct it.

Well, don't they lose their rights in 2009? So, if they won't to do it, which I think they do, they should really get their act together. Please, let's not have a last minute made move! *Pleads* <- Heh... a lota good that'll do!;)

Now the 2009 date for the Hobbit makes sense!

Heh... It's one of the few things in this whole Hobbit movie thing that does!
But I'm of two minds on this. If they can manage to pull together a good movie in two years, great for them. If not, forget about the huge profit that could be made and WAIT! But they won't do that... But I also want to movie to be made as soon as possible! ARG! I don't know how people survived to year wait between each lotr movie.:D
(BTW, when I said "won't", in my last post, I ment "want". :))

(And I also love your signature. "You try to hurt my hobbits; I hurt you. So there." You're love for Hobbits is very contagious! My Hobbit-hater/bashing friends will have you to thank when I start "hurting" them! :karate: :P)

The good thing about the Hobbit will be that we won't have to wait another year!

(Tell them.. your welcome.)

I think it would be cool if the hobbit were a movie.

Yeah i really hope PJ does it. some ppl might be glad that G del Torro might direct it but i really hope its PJ. I dont want to go bashing his door, hehe, but i wish he'd realize how much it means to the fans and the world of movies. I mean seriously, after all he created such a legendary epic... why let someone else finish the job?

The New Zealanders call themselves Kiwis, because of the Kiwi a native bird, which is a national icon of New Zealand.
So a Kiwi filmmaker is a filmmaker from New Zealand.
