actally after king kong peter jackson said he was having a years break from film making but would make the hobbit but is now in the process of sewing newline for holding back some off the profits which are peters so might be a long time

ATENTION!:
i just got a new entertainment weekly mag. in the mail today. it has a article in it about the hobbit and the whole thing b/w new line and MGM. right now PJ is saying that he really hasn't thought about it (right now) but when he was asked about it he did do some thinking and...well lets just say his head isn't really on streight (in my opinion)...it says..... "jackson is intrigued by making two films from the hobbit and inventing material to fill in gaps."
two films!! um...im sry but isn't the hobbit ONE BOOK! well y don't you make ONE MOVIE.

I agree with you...one movie. But Im sure Jackson can make it wonderful if split into 2. His material would be meaningful to the film and defiantly worth it.

I would rather have it mostly true to the book and one movie, but that's just me.

i would absolutly love to have not just pj back but the entire crew as well. i mean weta, howard shore, everyone. and as many actors as possible to replay their characters or relitives....in one movie of course
but thats just me not being able to let go of the amazing cast and crew all working together. but i mean come on who would be better than the people who originated these roles?

I read in my local newspaper that the hobbit will become a movie, but it could take several years before they start to shoot it! I read Sir Ian McKellen is gonna be in it!

But P.J won't be directing the Hobbit.... I wonder if they'll keep the same people to play the characters.

The director of the Spiderman movies was supposed to do it. PJ decided not to, which is a bummer.
