Well what are your favourite scenes and why?
I have many but i'll start off by saying:
1. Concerning Hobbits [where Frodo meets Gandalf again]
2. A shortcut to Mushrooms
3. Buckleberry ferry
4. Amon-Hen

The effects used during the Buckleberry ferry scene are amazing when Merry Pippin and Sam are yelling 'Hurry Frodo!' and you see the Dark rider coming behind him where Frodo shouts 'NO!'

I love Amon-Hen when Aragorn says 'Run......RUN!' just after parting with Frodo and then the music swells as he swings hos sword. The way Aragorn approaches the orc herd is amazing too.
Also when Frodo is beside the tree and Merry and Pippin say 'Quick Hide here!' and Frodo hesitates and looks sad and shakes his head. Then teh music just kind of hovers while Merry and Pippin jump out and yell 'Hey you! Over here!' 'Hey!' 'Over Here!' 'This way!'
It's just soo brilliant.
And the final scene where Frodo says 'I'm glad you're with me Sam' and they set out to Mordor and we see the danger that lies ahead. I think this was beautifully done. :'( makes you :'(

My favourite scene was when the fellowship entered Lothlórien and Haldir goes, "The Dwarf breathes so loud we could have shot him in the dark..."

It's so difficult to choose only one or two! I love 'em all! hahahaha, but you know, I always quake when reading or watching the moment in which the ring falls into the fires of the vulcano. In the film, my fave moment is that of Minas Tirith bowing to the Hobbits, it's amazing :) I love it. But you know, every single moment together with the rest, makes this trilogy amazing! ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! :)

Oh yes. I love all of FOTR too but there must be a particular scene that grabs your attention.
I believe you're refering to ROTK where Aragorn Says:

'My Friends...You bow to No-one'

I love the bit when Boromir says "Have you ever seen it Aragorn, the White Tower of Ecthelion?..."
And then he describes Minas Tirith and you hear the Gondor theme...Beautiful.

Well, the one that first entered my mind was when Gandalf tells Frodo a little about fate. "I wish none of this had happened." I know Frodo was wishing these events had not taken place during the time he was alive. But then Gandalf gives him those encouraging words "So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide..." Brilliant! What wisdom!

Yeah, I like that scene too.
I really like the felowship's journey through Moria too, except the part where we lose Gandalf :( that's just sad. I hate seeing everyone's faces after that, I just want to jump in and give them all a big hug :)

Oh goodness me! That one too! I love that scene. The other scene i particularly love which is related to this one, is 'The road goes ever on...' Where Frodo is standing with the ring in his hand as the breaking of the fellowship theme resounds and the flashback of Moria where he says 'I wish the ring had never come to me...I wish none of this had happened...' and Gandalf says 'So do all who live to see such times...all you have to do, is to decide what do with the time that is given to you' and we see Frodo rowing away then Sam chases him, gets taken out of the water and says 'Don't you leave him Samwise Gamgee...and i don't mean to...I don't mean too...'

Shortly after that we see Frodo and Sam at the path setting out to Mordor, and Frodo says 'i'm glad your with me Sam' and we get a view of the path to Mordor. So beautifully done that was.

I love that part, too. And then he tells Frodo

Quote:
Pity? It was pity that stayed Bilbo's hand. Many that live deserve death, and some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them, Frodo?

And then he goes and dies! :(
