Because this was one of my favourite topics from the old location I'd like to continue it. You can see the first part of the topic here.
So what do you have to say about the beautiful Lothlórien created for the motion picture??

they did a pretty good job. the forest gave off a strong impression of being a sacred and mystical place, which is exactly what it's supposed to feel like. I recall the trees having a slight golden/bluish tinge to them PJ did a good job

Hm... I know in the EE of FOTR you get to see Caras Galadhon and the surrounding forest as a golden colour (as it's supposed to be) and though I do love Lorien and the way it looks, I can't help but get the feeling that it wasn't quite right... mebbe I'm wrong... *shrugs* Love it anyway!!

Well, I love how Lorien turned out to be because that was the first location I've ever seen, so later when I read the book for first time I had already had this image in my mind and I imagined it the same. But after all Rivendell is my favorite location and I loved how it looks! I love both Lorien and Imladris! Oww just how I love every location in Arda even Mordor...

oh, i thought that both Rivendell and Lothlorien were done extrodinarily well in the films! i can't decide which is better. but getting back to Lorien...

i think they did really well making the woods and everything like they're described in the book. it just looks so old and mysterious (like it's supposed to).

Everything about it! I love the ancientness and the sadness of the elves, esp. the blue light.

If you look at the translations for some of the singing in Lothlorien, you can see how sorrowful they are:

Ilfirin nairelma nauva i nauva
Ilfirin nairelma ar ullume nucuvalme
Nauva i nauva melme nóren sina nairelma...

Undying [is] our regret, what should be shall be
Undying [is] our regret and yet we will cast all away,
What should be shall be, [our] love for this land [is] our regret...

*cries* it's so sad! They don't want to leave their land but they know they have to once Sauron is destroyed...

I think both Lothlorien and Rivendell were done beautifully :) No complaints.

No complaints from the peanut gallery here. Lothlorien was done beautifully and so was Rivendell.

Rivendell didn't have that mystical air to it. it felt like heaven, but it wasn't displaying all those emotions like Lorien was

Lothlorien is one of the most beautiful places I ever seen into a movie...Also Rivendell....I like a lot that magic light from this place and from the eyes of the elves, as Tolkien describe them....Gorgeous....I dream to live with them.... :-D
