So whats the best scene in FOTR? Is it the Shire, the Breaking of the Fellowship, or the Mines of Moria?
Id have to say Moria, Breaking of the Fellowship. Lothlorien, Rivendell.....

The Mines of Moria was a great scene. The breaking of the fellowship was a sad part but very good.

I love the scene where Frodo standing on the edge of the river, and he just has this look in his eyes, its just a meaningfulll scene, I think its called "The Breaking of the Fellowship"

I think the Mines of Moria was by far the best scene in FotR....but all of the scenes were awesome, imo

The Argonath, Dwarrowdelf, Imladris, Lórien - all favorite scenes of mine, and the ones I remembered most from the book and therefore was most excited to see on the screen!

THE SHIRE!!!!!! I loved the party scene where everyone's dancing and eating and having the best time! I wish they had showed MORE dancing--apparently they filmed a whole lot more than they showed in the movie. I also love the Mirror of Galadriel--that was awesome.

I think I'm gonna have to join the majority and agree it's pretty hard to go past the Council of Elrond - that set was magical. But I also liked the scene on Caradhras where Saruman was trying to bring down the mountain and Gandalf attempted to counter it - a great display of the Istari power, that was.
