So, the other day I went and saw Thor at my local theater(good movie, by the way), and there was a trailer to something... I did not expect.

To kick off the filming of the Hobbit and the blue-ray release of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, my theater is going to be playing all three Lord of the Rings extended edition!!!

Okay, so each one a different week, but only showing each one once. So for my theater Fellowship of the Rings will be playing June 14th. I'm so going! It also will include an opening comment by Peter Jackson, as well as some extra scenes and comments after. When I saw this I was like O.O NO WAY, this is going to be AWESOME!!!! I'm SO GOING!!!

Yes, this is my Ringerness that totally freaked out the three friends I was with at the time. I'll most likely be dragging at least one of them with me.

But, another part of my Ringer so totally wants to dress up for it. In fact, I plan to. I want to go to each one, but sadly I have plans that make it so I can't go to the Return of the King, so the Fellowship of the Ring and the Two Towers will have to do. IN which case, I will only need two costumes(not fun wearing the same costume twice, right?)

Luckily I already have one. I have Eowyn's shield maiden dress. I want to wear that one to the two towers. But what to wear for the Fellowship of the Rings? I was thinking of making either Eowyn's refugee dress, or go as Rosie Cotton(so I can wear my latex pointed ears). But with my budget I was thinking Eowyn's dress, because it's so much simpler.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else had a theater near them that is doing the same thing???

OOOH! MEEEE!
I totally have my friends freaked out, too. I'm spazzed because I get to go see them ALL, especially because I was too young to be interested when the movies first came out... Now it's like I can be a part of what I missed
And the best part is, I don't have the extended editions for FotR and RotK, only the regular, so it really will be like a totally different experience. I can't wait to see my favorite scenes on the big screen!
I don't have money to dress up, otherwise I would... But I guess that just wearing my Gondor T-shirt and a ring on each finger will have to suffice
Anyway. This is one of the two most exciting things in my life right now, tied with only the international martial arts championship I get to compete in this summer! SQUEEEE! I'm SO EXCITED!

You guys are so lucky! Maybe I can get my mom to find a theater in Florida to go to while we're on vacation, though I can imagine her saying, "More TV? on VACATION? go outside!" gr! maybe I'll, like, protest or hitch a ride to AMC. you have to post ALL ABOUT IT!!!
