My favourite lines [I really can't decide on only one favourite line ;) ]:

Gandalf:
"All you have to do, is decide what to do with the time that is given to you."

Arwen:
"Why do you fear the past? You are Isildur's heir, not Isildur himself. You are not bound to his fate."
" I would rather share one lifetime with you than face all the ages of this world alone."
"It is mine to give to whom I will...like my heart."

Aragorn:
"I would have gone with you to the end, into the very fires of Mordor"

Boromir:
"I would have followed you, my brother, my captain, my king"

I really liked this line.

I love that one too! It makes a lot of sense, too. I think about it a lot.

I like a lot of the afore mentioned ones. Both the funny ones and the serious ones there's a mixture of both.

Though I do quite like Boromir's 'They have a cave troll'. The deliverence was just perfect.

And the part at the council when Sam runs out and Elrond says something about it being impossible to seperate Frodo and Sam. I can't remember the exact line

i have way too many lines top write them down. but my faves are definitely pippin's. hes so slow, but totally loveable

this has gotta be one of my favourite scenes from all three films...

Strider: Gentlemen, we do not stop till nightfall.

Pippin: What about breakfast?

Strider: You've already had it!

Pippin: We've had one, yes. What about second breakfast?

Merry: I don't think he knows about second breakfast, Pip.

Pippin: But what about elevensies? Luncheon, afternoon tea,
dinner, supper? He knows about them, doesn't he?

Merry: I wouldn't count on it...

(Aragorn throws them some apples)

another fave bit
Pippin: What's that?!

Merry: This, my friend, is a pint!

Pippin: It comes in pints?!

Merry: Mmm... (agreeing, while taking a large sip)

Pippin: I'm getting one!

Sam: You've had a whole half already!

(Pippin heads off to the bar to get himself a pint)

:roflmao:
you gotta love him

^ such great moments in the film

My favorite is the whole opening speech by Galadriel:
Quote:
The world is changed. I feel it in the water. I feel it in the earth. I smell it in the air. Much that once was is lost, for none now live who remember it. It began with the forging of the Great Rings. Three were given to the Elves, immortal, wisest and fairest of all beings. Seven to the Dwarf lords, great miners and craftsmen of the mountain halls. And nine, nine rings were gifted to the race of men, who, above all else, desire power. But they were, all of them, deceived, for another Ring was made. In the land of Mordor, in the fires of Mount Doom, the Dark Lord Sauron forged in secret a master Ring, to control all others. And into this Ring he poured his cruelty, his malice and his will to dominate all life. One Ring to rule them all. One by one the Free Lands of Middle-earth fell to the power of the Ring. But there were some who resisted. A last alliance of Men and Elves marched against the armies of Mordor. On the slopes of Mount Doom they fought for the freedom of Middle-earth. Victory was near! But the power of the Ring could not be undone. It was in that moment - when all hope had faded - that Isildur, son of the King, took up his fathers sword. Sauron, the enemy of the Free Peoples of Middle-earth, was defeated. The Ring passed to Isildure who had this one chance to destroy evil forever. But the hearts of Men are easily corrupted and the Ring of Power has a will of it's own. It betrayed Isildur to his death. And some things that should not have been forgotten were lost. History became legend, legend became myth and for two and a half thousand years the Ring passed out of all knowledge. Until when chance came, it ensnared a new bearer! The Ring came to the creature Gollum, who took it deep into the tunnels of the Misty Mountains and there, it consumed him. The Ring brought to Gollum unnatural long life. For five hundred years it poisoned his mind. And in the gloom of Gollum's cave it waited. Darkness crept back into the forests of the world. Rumor grew of a Shadow in the East, whispers of a nameless fear. And the Ring of Power perceived, its time had now come. It abandoned Gollum. But something happened then that the Ring did not intend. It was picked up by the most unlikely creature imaginable. A Hobbit - Bilbo Baggins of the Shire. For the time will soon come when Hobbits will shape the fortunes of all...

:) One of my absolute favorite moments in the film!

my fav. lines are:

Gandalf: A wizard is never late, Frodo Baggins. Nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to.

Bilbo: I don't know half of you half as well as I should like and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Strider: Gentlemen, we do not stop until nightfall.
Pippin: What about breakfast?!
Strider: You've already had it.
Pippin: We've had one, yes. What about second breakfast?
Merry:Don't think he knows about second breakfast, Pip.
Pippin: What about elevenses? Luncheon? Afternoon tea? Dinner? Supper? He knows about them, doesn't he?
Merry: I wouldn't count on it.

( the council of elrond, the end when they are saying they will go and making the fellowship)

Frodo: I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.
Gandalf: So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world Frodo besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring, in which case you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought.

and thats all i can think of right now

Boromir
Even now there is hope left. But I cannot see it. It has been long since we had any hope.

(he pauses)

My father is a noble man. His rule is failing, and our people lose faith. he looks to me to put this right, and I would do it. I would see the glory of Gondor restored.

Have you ever seen it, Aragorn? The White Tower of Echthelion, glimmering like a spike of pearl and silver, its banners caught high in the morning breeze? Have you ever been called home by the clear ringing of silver trumpets?

Aragorn
I have seen the White City.

Boromir
One day, our paths will lead us there. And the tower guard will take up the call, that the lords of Gondor have returned.

i just love that scene!!!! and i also love gondor!!!!!
and i also love all the parts with merry and pippin like:

(in moria)
pippin: (saying something i can't remember)
merry: shh!!! gandalf's thinking.
pippin: merry?
merry: what?
pippin: i'm hungry
:laughbounce: :-D

pippin: right, so where are we going? :teehee:
