A lot of folks ask whether those original soviet stocks https://4shooters.com/manufacturer/soviet-surplus are worth the price tag compared to cheaper modern folders or U.S. made alternatives. After owning and running both types, I’ll say this — if you want that proper Russian feel and durability, it’s 100% worth it. I got the steel triangle folder with a 5.5mm pin, and it's easily one of the sturdiest stocks I've used. What sets it apart is how clean and efficient the design is. No extra parts, no bulk, just straight-up reliability. It folds tight against the receiver and stays out of the way until you need it. When deployed, it feels firm — not a hint of slop.
