I couldn't decide. It's a pretty good draw, really. I love all the characters, they really work well together and balance each other out. If I had to choose a character it would probably be:
1) Aragorn because he is a brave fighter, he knows "magic" (i can't think of another word), he knows where the heck hes goin', and he's an all-around good-guy!
OR...
2) Samwise Gamgee because he is stead-fast and true, always sticks by Mr. Frodo's side, takes care of Mr. Frodo, is a good contribution to the Fellowship, and is an all-around good-guy!

VERY true. I mean, without Sam, Frodo would have fallen into the temptation. Sam carried Frodo to Mount Doom. In a way, he's the hero - the hero of the story. He was Frodo's motivation. He was Frodo's anchor to the real, true mission. And it was because of him that Frodo made it.
And it's so sad to see Sam's face when Frodo refuses to cast the ring into the fire to be destroyed - I mean, he went so far, sacrificed his pots and pans for Frodo, to get him there, and then finally, Frodo turns away at the last, most desparate moment.
Thank goodness Gollum was there to bite off Frodo's finger.
Wait - I can't believe I just said that^!

I like Legolas the best not ONLY because he is acted by Orlando Bloom but also because I have been wanting to learn archery myself. And I generally like elves in any movie or book. _________________ <center>

OMgoodness I have forgotten about dear Sam. He is also my favourite character. He's so sweet and loyal to Frodo......Frodo would never made it without Sam. I LUV SAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's a person I agree with but I really can't decide which is my favourite. They're all so great. On the one hand I love Legolas but Aragorn is one of my favourites, Frodo is the main guy (he's amazing) and Sam is my favourite hobbit... So I really can't decide. But I agree that I don't like Legolas because of Orlando (lol you don't know nothing about my interests but you really don't want to know, I'd say only )

my favorite is Gandalf, probably because he's a wizard but he's also good with a sword. Sam is my favorite hobbit and I like Aragorn because he's got that leadership thing.

Frodo is a bit weak sometimes, but that can be blamed on the corruption of the ring. I don't like Frodo that much because he's always the one who needs saving. he keeps making a show of dying, getting everyone all worried, then coming back to life. again, that can be blamed on the ring but I still don't like him.
