I think Frodo's was the most emotional, but Aragorn's reaction definitely affected me most. It takes incredible self control to just walk away from where someone who you knew so well 'died', and I really respect the way he was falling apart on the inside but still managed to keep a strong front for the others. This might have made the other members of the Fellowship think that he was heartless (Boromir for example) but I think that he was probably the most affected of all and just did not let it show. For that I admire him so much.

Aragorn's reaction didn't really affect me the most, it was Frodo. That one single tear that strolled down his cheek mean't a lot.

I have a question. How exactly would you describe Merry's grief? It's hard for me to find a proper describing word. :(

I cried...like a little kid and you know what every time I see it I cry like a little kid!! :welcome: :frust:

I dont really understand why Boromir got like that and you know what I dont believe his reaction to the "death" I mean for one thing I think he was only there to try a shot at the Ring and for another thing, he didnt even know Gandalf that well so yeah....Legolas...He was just there and sexy while being there :-D But yeah he....you know I dont even know why he would be devastated either, he didnt know Gandalf as well the others you know :(
Same thing goes for Gimli, they didnt know Gandalf that well, I mean they may have but they didnt that the same bond as Frodo or Sam would have...get me? so yeah...I may be wrong but for now thats what I think :confuzzled:

PS: Even through everything that happened....Legolas is still sexy :-D

Personally I don't think Legolas has got any sex appeal... yeah sure, he's cute.. but sexy? :P

And I'm pretty sure any Elf would be extremely devastated over Gandalf's death... he was very important to the Elves.

Well, think about it...maybe Gandalf wasn't so important to the Dwarves as a race, but he and Gimli were friends of sorts. I assume that Gimli secretly looked up to Gandalf at least a bit, because he was their leader and very wise. Even if you don't become best friends with someone because of an experience you've shared, you do feel a certain fondness for them. Anyway, Gimli had also just learned that his cousin was dead. I can't even imagine losing a family member and a comrade on the same day... :confused2: :(

I have to say that this was one of the most moving scenes for me, and without a doubt on of my personal favourites. It was Frodo's reaction that really got to me. The devastating silence that fell really brought me close to that scene, with Frodos' echoing shout of 'Gandalf' which pierced me and brought me to tears. I felt so very sad. The music complemented the scene beautifully. The resounding 'Noooo' finished the scene, and the whole Boromir restraining Frodo was a beautiful addition. It was the way in which Aragorn Lagged behind too, ducking and diving to avoid the arrows which I felt was amazing and showed true emotion.

I loved that Scene! I was about to set up a thread you beat me to it :)

I was sooo sad too, before I knew that he dosn't die. but at first I was confused, why didn't anyone try to save him? Boramir was holding Frodo back, and they might have had enough time to help him.
but then again the ledge might have broken.

your thoughts?
