Poll: Excited for the new poll, thanks for doing it, Ana. 2-3 weeks sound good. Let's see if we get overrun and we might wanna change it more frequently. And yay, everyone so far voted for.. the same character I did.

@Arweb: OMG.. That's a lot of votes.. seems we do get a bit of traffic to the main site... By the way, did you set up any site statistics.. like does the system have something, or could we set up Google analytics if we need to use stats at some point?

Guestbook: It would be great to have a more customizable guestbook... the old one looks... like something that's 5 years old.. which it is..

Annnnd here is the guestbook. Well, if you want it. I tried to match the colours up to the forum colours, and there's an option for a title image so maybe we could have "A-U.com Guestbook" in that cool font that's on the top of the forum. Anywho, here's the link:

@Arweb: Oh.. that's.. a lot of numbers! I was just thinking something about what sub-sites people visit on the main site or something and how long they stay.. so we might say expand the galleries later on if there was a demand for it..


@Harthad: Thank you for that. Ooh, it's green! So can you add what questions people may answer and choose to answer? The thing I don't like about the current guestbook is that it seems to be so detatched from the main site.. but I don't know anything about the selection on the guestbook-market..
Let's leave it here for other input and opinions.


By the way, a lot of people are asking in the current guestbook how the blue Arwen-header was made... I suppose it's a job for the contact team (which would be me.. among others ) to keep an eye on the guestbook too but it'd be much appreciated if other people would reply to messages to.

You can add whatever questions you like, and people can choose to or not to answer them. I think you can add requiered questions, but I'll have to check. And also, you can add this guestbook to a page on your site so you don't even have to change the layout. Here's an example. But like I said, you can add a header and footer image to make it more like the header image on the actual site.

I thought of this too when I looked at the guestbook. I thought someone could use the official site email to email them and tell them about the previous layouts page (where she explains what she did to make a picture of Liv into Arwen) and Arwen's photo manipulation tutorial, for instance. And I think being in contact and available to the average visitor would be a great personal touch. It shows what a welcoming community we are.
